Hi!

We are planning our first time to UO and will then be going to Disney after that. We are planning to flight in on Friday Nov. 28th(day after Thanksgiving) and stay two nights at Royal Pacific to take advantage of the early admittance and express lines. We should be to the hotel by 1 or 2pm but I am not sure if we should get admission tickets for that day or just the following two days. If I got passes for all three days do they all get the express lines additions for staying at the hotel 2 night? If I don't get passes for the first day what is there to do there without leaving Universal? Also, it is likely we will only spend about the first half of the last day at Universal to get into whatever we haven't previously; assuming we can check out in advance and leave our bags at the hotel.

The main "goal" is to see all the HP areas (new/old), really just soak it in, as that is what interested us the most and probably do at least Spiderman and Transformers and see the nighttime show as well. I know the new HP stuff may be hard to pin down how crazy it will be the weekend after Thanksgiving but I am hoping with the early admittance and express lines feature we will not have too much of an issue. Any help or sugguestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Express pass is good from Check in day no matter the time to check out day. I don't know your travel arrangements/how far you are traveling from and how long it's going to take you to get there. You may want to relax by the pool*, relax in the room or hit up city walk besides parking it. Parks will probably be closing later since it around the holidays. Depending on the cost breakdown of "adding" additional days, I probably would go for three days in the the parks.

*If weather is good.

Royal Pacific is our favorite Hotel at Uni. It's beautiful there. Allow me to suggest a few little tid bits for you.

1. The hotel pool is great and they show movies on a theater sized screen right at the pool at night so you can just sit in the jacuzzi, relax at the bar or swim and watch the movie. It's kid friendly so keep that in mind. I watched the new Johnny Depp willy wonka movie last time. Good vibe and fun. Parks usually close kinda early so the pool is a good spot at night.

2. When going to the parks there are boats to take you there but may I suggest the walk along the canal. It's about a 15 min max and is really quite nice. I've never run into more than 4-5 people on the whole walk over. I've waited longer for the boat than it takes to walk more than once and have chosen to walk as a standard as of late. The boat ride is nice though if you choose to wait.
Since you will be wanting to get into the early deal at Harry Potter land, you will want to eat breakfast before you go. The restaurant (I forget the name) right by the walk is very good. ( WARNING. the buffet is heavy. The eggs Benedict will do the trick) The walk is nice right after breakfast.

3. City walk is tons of fun and there is plenty to do from mini golf, to indoor sky diving to restaurants. There's an all you can eat whopper bar there (not that I'd go there of course :)

4. The hotel express pass is good even the whole day that you check out and is an extremely valuable tool. I've done all the rides at both parks in one day using my express pass. Admittedly we were sort of on a mission that day but it wasn't anything intense at all. it's much better than the Disney fast pass and can be used an infinite number of times on as many rides as you'd like. You should not have any trouble getting it all in in the two/three days you are there while utilizing the express pass.

Hope that helps. Enjoy your trip!!!

As has already been said, Express Pass is available strting on the day you check-in until the day the day you check-out. Personally, I always visit the parks on my check-in and check-out days. With the Express Pass, you will be able to experience quite a bit of the parks. Since the parks close early (usually around 7pm and 8pm), I always wait to experience CityWalk until then.
