First or second half of October?

I’ve been told that visiting in October is a lot busier then it used to be.

Is the first half or second half of October the best time to visit in terms of ride times and not too hot weather?

I visited the last week of October in 2013 and it was great! The weather was great too and very bearable. Although, you are right about the crowds picking up more as those dates are no longer included with free dining for U.S. reservations. We keep wishing we could go back during October for a trip.

I stagger my October trips so one year I will go later and then next I go earlier in the month(to get the most out of my AP). The weather is hit or miss. It could be hot or it could be cold and rainy. You get what you get that time of year. Crowds are a bit higher the later you go but not a huge difference. Go when you can get a decent room rate(and flight ).
