I have a question for all the cupcakes experts in here: which cupcake in WDW should be my first one ever? Is there one in particular that should win the «first WDW cupcake trophy»? I'm looking for your recommendation :)

That will probably depend on what is your favorite flavor of cake and frosting. I'm a bigger fan of yellow/white cake than chocolate but so many of the fabulous cupcakes at WDW have chocolate cake. That fact may sway me a little in the cupcakes I try or at least try first. The red velvet and the chocolate peanut butter cupcakes from Starring Rolls were two of my favorites from last year. I have high hopes of trying several different ones next month. :)

I also often prefer white cake even though I love chocolate too. hummmm chocolate peanut butter cupcake must be good! I love to try new things so I guess I'll have plenty of choices :)

Yup- this is such a personal preference thing. As I sit here up to my eyeballs in cake stuff making a banana pound cake w/pineapple mousse filling and mandarin orange buttercream :D I can tell you that some people are chocolates, some people are vanillas, and some people don't really get the wow factor unless the entire flavor profile is non-traditional. So, I'd ask yourself what base flavor best suits you and then go from there. :)

I'm sure there are a few places that have their own, better cupcakes, but most of the cupcakes all over WDW are the same...and they aren't very good. The rice krispie trats are also not too hot.

I'm not trying to dump on Disney, I just don't want you to be too disappointed.

IMO, the best treats are at the Boardwalk Bakery.

Which park/resort will you be in first? I would say the Red Velvet at Starring Rolls would be at the top of my list.

I'll be staying at POP and the first park we will visit is MK.

Starring Rolls is a great place to find several of the better cupcakes. Main Street Bakery and Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery at the AK also have good choices. I plan on taking in as many as I can if I have to buy several and split them just to try them.

I'll for sure make some stops at Main Street Bakery and Starring Rolls! :) That is what my sister and I will probably do, share them!

I'll probably try The PB cupcake at SRs! :) Does anyone ever had the Vanilla Caramel Cupcake at Epcot’s Karamell-Küche???
