Hello all! I was hoping for some budget advice. I am a Disneyland cast member and I am going on my first wow trip. I am going solo and my airfare and Airbnb is taken care of already plus I get in the parks free, so how much should I save up for food and merch and light lyft fees for 7 days? Is 700 about right? Please help advize

Get yourself 7 $100 gift cards and use one each day. You could spend more than a hundred a day but just got back from a 2 day 4 adult trip where we spent $600 on food, $75/person/day. Ate at BOG, LeCellier, and at Food&Wine. You also didn't mention room fees, onsite or off? We stayed at AoA and got QS meals there for breakfast.

The OP said that he's staying at an Airbnb, so accommodation costs are already taken care of.

The amount of money you'll need will depend on what kind of meals you end up having. Will it be mostly quick service and snacks rather than table service, or a mix?

Being a DL CM you have a better idea of WDW costs than most new WDW guests. The pricing youll encounter isnt that different at WDW.
Check out the Disney menu site to get a look at what is available in all the places you may be dining. The prices are listed so you can get a better idea of what those costs will be. There are also listings for the snack carts on property so you can add those into your budget as well. Merchandise is going to have a huge range... you can buy small things for very little ( under $20 ) or get items in the hundreds to thousands. We usually do well by bringing about $100 a day for extras... but dont always spend that much. We always seem to find something expensive we want to bring home that wasnt planned on so we use the credit card, Disney visa points or gift cards for those higher end things.
I cant help you regarding Lyft pricing. But we always bring extra cash along just as a buffer for emergencies or unexpected expenses.
You can really lose track of your spending on those extras so be sure to be careful of using the credit cards and discipline yourself when strolling through the shops or by the kiosks.

There are times I have ordered off the childrens' menu because it had some healthier options. They are also cheaper as you know....just a thought.

Depends on how much you are planning on spending/eating Personally if it was me I could easily go on $500 and just eat counter service meals and buy a few souvenirs

The DW and I for a 7 day stay spent abut $650-$750 we brought breakfast food (cereal, milk, protein bars etc) lunch we did counter service and for dinner we did TS -- Coral Reef, Rain Forest Cafe etc. we got by on ~$100 a day though DW is not a big eater. I would think you could get by on ~$50 a day and eat fairly well. I would bring extra $ for those splurge items. Lucky you basically a free trip, have great time

If you stick to QS places you can probably get away with about $60 for B/L/D and a couple of snacks per day. Leaves you with $40 for Lyft and Shopping.

It is Disney as you very well know - just keep your "vices" in check. My wife is an "impulse" shopper and I always get some kind of surprise. But I'm no better when I get to Epcot and walk into the Rose&Crown and see the Macallan 18 bottle staring back at me.

Congrats on your first trip to WDW, as I am sure you will enjoy it!

Since you are a cast member at Disneyland, you will definitely be able to make comparisons and see what you like and don't like in each of the parks!

Don't DLR CMs get CM pricing at WDW, meaning substantial discounts on food at CS and TS locations?
