Hey guys,

I noticed it says we are supposed to bring "formal attire" for our orientation and training,

I was wondering what they mean by this, and what I should bring.

Any former CPs remember?

Also, you've all been awesome in answering my questions, just wanted to say thanks :sohappy:

I just brought stuff that worked for Disney Look. A pair of dress pants, a skirt, & a few nice tops. I ended up buyinng a dress from walmart while I was there, but that wasnt for the formal or anything, i just really liked the dress.

I would suggest business casual. Dress pants, button down and other professional shirts, and a pair of dress shoes. These are probably the things you are going to have to wear as you orient and don't have a costume yet. They are going to want you looking nice when you are walking through guest areas.

Disney Look standards on business casual attire for men have recently changed. You're going to be safest with a pair of black or brown dress shoes (although black is the safest), khaki dress pants or black dress slacks (Dockers or equivalent. Nothing with cargo pockets), and a solid color long sleeve button down shirt. Polo/golf shirts are no longer acceptable. The shirt needs to be tucked in and you must be wearing a black or brown belt with a nondescript buckle.

I think that pretty much covers it. :D

^ The polo restriction is a very recent change, as in during the last 6 months. They did it to be more in line with the Disney Look standards in Anaheim and Burbank for Business Casual. Polo shirts are still allowed in some locations, notably recreation roles, but only for non-costumed cast members.

I've always seen him wearing a button down long sleeve.

And they get to wear shorts too!
