Fireworks from the boardwalk

My in laws are trying to plan a trip and want to know if they will be able to see any fireworks from the Boardwalk hotel, anyone know if they would be able to?

Not really. You can walk along the Boardwalk and head up to the bridge that goes over the water towards International Gateway and get a good view. The International Gateway is the back entrance into Epcot and about a 5 minute walk from the Lobby of the Boardwalk. The Boardwalk Hotel is right next to Epcot but there are some pretty tall trees between the actual resort and the park. Most of IllumiNations fireworks/effects are low to the ground (ie: the firebarge, watereffects, the Earth barge, etc) Unlike Wishes over at the Magic Kingdom, IllumiNations is more of a Nighttime Spectacular than your traditional firework show utilizing many different effects. You'll definitely be able to see the finale from the resort if you're in a room that looks over the lake, but not much else except for some glow from behind the trees.

You can get a great view of Epcots fireworks if you stand in front of Jelly Rolls on the Boardwalk.
