Well for a brief time they probably were one of universal's hottest attractions.

Someone with reliable connections posted on another forum that it was a gasoline-powered water pump whose tank had been overfilled and the cap not secured. When started the gas sparked the fire. Minor damage to the raft track and paint, easily repaired before scheduled reopening.
