Finding Nemo 2

Ok. The gang at Pixar has gone on record to say that depending on how good Nemo did (We know this answer) and if they could get a script that was worthy of being called the sequel, they would make it.

My question is, what do you think it would deal with?

Im guessing, by the ending, that Mr Ray and the kids will get into some sort of trouble during a long sea trip. Forcing Marlin, Dory, the Tank Gang (Remember, they did get out at the very end of the movie) and Bruce.

Whats your thought?

To be honest, I would prefer that they didn't do a sequel. I don't think that it would be in Pixar's best interests to do a sequel to this movie.

If.....and that's if they would get a good script for a second....it would have to be something like Toy Story 2. A story completely unrelated to the first film. That way you wouldn't have to see the first one to relate to the second film...that's why Toy Story 2 is so good.

To be honest though...Disney ripped Pixar on the Toy Story sequel and I don't know that Steve Jobs would be dumb enough to fall for that trick again. Basically, Disney and Pixar had a certain number of picture deal and battled for Toy Story sequel not to be part of that deal....Pixar was not happy. It wouldn't bother me if Pixar and Disney to split.

As I said though.....if a sequel was done....it would have to be completely seperate from the original. That would make another great film....no connection between the two. If you notice, there are very few, if any dialogue in Toy Story 2 that connects it with the original.

I don't see how this could be done. I was thinking at the end of Finding Nemo, "They could make a sequel, but I have no idea what they'd do." I'd definitely want them to do it, but they need to find a way to do it. If it can be done, then Pixar should go for it. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if it did better than the first.

As long as it isn't "Finding Nemo... Again!" Nemo gets lost again and Martain, Dory, and the Tank Gang search the ocean for him. Honestly, that's as silly as doing a sequel to the Little Mermaid where Ariel's daughter wants to be a mermaid. Wait... you mean they really did that? Now that's silly.

Is it really necessary? Then again, my opinion could be suspicious since Nemo is probably my least favorite of the Pixar flicks... But seriously, I could see a sequel to Toy Story or Bug's Life, but not Nemo and Monsters.

This movie is ripe for a sequel. I see human invasion of the coral reef with oil wells/pollution. Bruce will end up being the hero in Nemo II.
