Finding a Avatar

Hopefully this thread is in the right place.

But I was just wondering how I would go about getting a Avatar for myself from this forum. Or maybe how I would get a avatar from someplace else to use. I consider myself computer challenged. So explain it to me like I'm a 3 year old not a 23 year old.
Thanks in advance :king: :king:

One easy option

Hey Brer Bear, I was confused about this when I first arrived at the board also. Just go to the User CP button up there and click "edit options" I think. Down at the bottom it should say change avatar, select that button. Then what you can do is upload a pic from your computer, or online as long as its within the size allocated, then your set. Hope this helped. I'm sure someone better versed in this can give you a better explanation though. Good Luck! Look forward to seeing the avatar.

I think the question they are asking is where would they find one..or make one...

You have a few options actually::

First..you could search the net for a small enough pic that you like and use that....thats the option that most people use...you can try www.google.com ...they have a really good image search section that is unbeatable..

Second..you could ask someone to make you one ;) We have quite a few artists here on the forum who would be more than happy to create one for you if asked nicely ;)

I was just trying to change my avatar. I go into edit options, I choose a pic from my computer (and it's the right size and everything), but when I click "submit modifications" the avator reverts back to this Epcot pic! Please help!

Thanks Everyone

Thanks to everyone who responded:animwink:
I found out how to get on from the site. It's a little plain for my taste, but its better than nothing.
Hey NowInc, since you are the resident artist on the site maybe we could get in contact and work on a cool avatar. Only if you have the time.:) :)

Ok this will probably sound like a stupid question but I am not anywhere close to a computer genius....
Is there a way to make the images smaller so they will fit? It seems all of the ones I have found through Google and Disney Clip Art are too big. I click on them, they come up alone on a page, is there no way to make them smaller so they will fit? If anyone can help this clueless girl let me know...thanks!

if you are trying to attach an image..you have to go to that area that says "attach file" and browse for the file you want to share...then just "submit reply" and it will upload ;)

Yeah it is strange. What I have to do is make a copy to the desktop in order to uploade anything. I wish I could keep everything in one folder. Any reasons why this is Now?

Just so you know, don't "steal" someone elses advatar or picture. They can be personal and when you see them, you remeber them by their advatar.

You did the right thing for asking for help, people here can be friendly and helpful!
