We finally added the water park after getting many opinions from you guys, but now I need some input like what do you guys normally do when you get there. Do we wear water shoes, do you rent a locker, what do we need to bring with us, and any other info you can give.

Good choice. You'll have fun at the parks. Are you planning on visiting both parks or just one. I usually go to BB but have been many times to TL too.

My family usually brings flip flops and then walk around the park barefoot. We rent a locker (they have large and small sizes) to put all of our personal items in...wallet, glasses, etc. You get a refund of a few dollars when you return the key. We don't get towels but you can rent them if you like or bring your own. The key is to get there early and find a nice lounge chair in the shade or sun.

In my family, we'll head straight to the locker rental, put our stuff in the locker, find a seating area and head out for the rides. They have places to eat if you're hungry and also places to shop.

We always rent a couple lockers (usually 8-10 of us so more than 1 is needed). We also rent towels. I have done the water shoe bit and also gone barefoot. Unless you are there very early, it is difficult to find a chairs for a group of 10. We just keep moving around the parks hitting slides, lazy rivers, wave pool etc. until we're hungry then get food. Play a bit more and leave before 3:00. Just our day schedule. Some people go early and stay til close but we don't since we don't ever stay in one park all day. Like to hop around.

We are planning on doing both and we our going the first week of October. Is it busy then? We have been to Disney the last 4 years and never did the water parks or Disney Quest. I like to have a plan so we know what we need. You mentioned the lockers how do you pay for them and how much are they cash or card?

Definitely get a chance to go to Disney Quest since it's closing next year, this may be your last chance.

The Disney quest closing is still just a rumor. Not even a very strong rumor. I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen, but there's not much on that rumor.
