Trip Report Finally Back in Our Happy Place. A Three Week Trip With a Cruise Included

We’ve been back for just over a week from what was a wonderful three weeks. There were a few hiccups, but for the most part Disney World was just as we remembered it.

This trip was me and my two youngest daughters, Alice (18) and Lexi (15)

We stayed at Pop Century from July 7th-20th, then sailed on the Disney Magic from July 20th-25th, then French Quarter for the last three nights, July 25th-28th. For the Pop Century part of the trip we had the UK 14 day park tickets which included the waterparks.

Arriving at Magic Kingdom there was no queue for a photo with Roy and Minnie

On our way to our next LL the girls pointed out the Tinkerbell statue which I hadn’t seen yet

Surprisingly after tapping in to our first LL in AK we’d managed to get an afternoon LL for Peter Pan

So many tour groups here as well

Next was our Pirates LL. As we’d come to expect, getting the extra, same day LLs meant a lot of park crisscrossing

We are there, we’re just short and at the back 😂

The girls love a sword fight after riding

Lexi was pleased to find one of the old fashioned pressed penny machines. The girls loved collecting these when they were little

Then our next LL

We’d been hoping to hear the new verse that had just been added. We were stuck in a log jam at the end of the ride and we heard it over and over and over

Next was something I’d been asking the girls to do on all our previous MK visits but they hadn’t wanted to, thinking it wasn’t something they’d enjoy. They humoured me today though as it was our last day.

image.jpeg

I don’t think the girls had seen the previous version and it had been so long that I don’t really remember it. From other people’s reviews, I was really looking forward to it.

And we all loved it. The girls were laughing and singing along, both of them said they wished they’d seen it earlier. Definitely a must do in the future.

We left MK for a while for what I think was the first monorail ride this trip.

Tonight’s dinner destination, I’d booked Kona Cafe especially for Alice.

I love the rolls and butter here

Chicken for Lexi

I had the pork. The flavours were good but it was a little bit dry. Excellent service from the chef here, another one who talked me through the dish.

And the reason I’d booked for Alice

She chose two types of sushi roll. One was the shrimp tempura but I can’t remember the other one.

I think she enjoyed it

We skipped dessert because we were going back to Magic Kingdom and the girls planned on getting some Mickey bars

When Em and I were at Disney a couple of weeks ago, we saw those penny press machines everywhere, and there was always someone using them!

Another break (I will finish this never ending trip report eventually)

I’m on my way back to Disney but it’s going to take 13 days to get there

I’m back on board the Disney Fantasy for the transatlantic crossing. This time I’ve got my oldest daughter, Sophie with me.

We arrive in Port Canaveral on Sunday 16th and will staying at All Star Movies for five nights. We’ll hopefully arrive at the resort around 11, we will drop our bags and go straight to Epcot.

Monday 17th: Magic Kingdom
Tuesday 18th: Hollywood Studios
Wednesday 19th: Animal Kingdom/Epcot
Thursday 20th: MVMCP. We might go to Epcot in the morning
Friday 21st: undecided. We will probably be leaving for the airport at around 1 pm so going to a park will depend on how we feel after the party the night before
