Does anyone know what the final list is for the new Fantasyland? I know that the Little Mermaid ride and Beauty and the Beast restaurant are in and the Cinderella and Aurora meet-and-greets and Pixie Hollow are out, but what of the Dumbos and the Barnstormer coaster?

Nobody knows exactly what the final list is. We'll probably know soon...maybe after the holidays.

Off the top of my head...

Fantasyland West:
- Castle Walls
- Belle Meet and Greet, along with Be Our Guest restaurant and Gaston's village with restrooms, merch, and a QS F&B location
- Ariel's Undersea Adventure D-ticket OmniMover dark ride with a meet and greet location
- Snow White-themed mine train/dark ride hybrid (D-ticket), intricately themed. (This has not been officially confirmed but will be constructed on the site proposed for the Cinderella/Aurora meet and greet location.

Fantasyland East:
- Pixie Hollow no longer included in expansion
- Barnstormer gets rethemed as "The Great Goofini"
- Dumbos move to the area depicted in concept art and model, where it is adjacent to the Speedway. It will feature an interactive standby queue as well as a Fastpass queue.
- Casey Jr. Food location to be constructed
- Tents may or may not stay, but the houses and Donald's boat will be demolished
- A water play area will take the place of Donald's Boat
- Toontown Railroad stop re-themed with restrooms added to the side of it

I think the castle walls are going to be put up after the holidays that way they block the views of the two castles going back there. so that way you HAVE to wait until it opens to see it.

Highly doubtful. To put the walls up, they would have to demolish Dumbo, which I believe will be open until the new ones get built. For the new ones to be built, they would have to demolish parts of Toontown Fair, and they haven't announced that closing either.

Hi! Im new, hope not to bother anyone with this question, but what is a D-Ticket? I saw it mentioned above, and was wondering. Thanks! :)

Rides used to be based on a ticket system back in the early days where each ride/attraction was categorized into an "A-E" system with E-tickets being for the large draw offerings.

Here's an article on them if you're interested: http://keeline.com/DLTickets/

They no longer use the system but when new rides are constructed people like to use the "A-E" ticket reference so that you can get some kind of idea as to how big or extravagant the new attraction will be. It's always debated upon here on the forums whether certain rides are considered C's D's or E's but it's all based on personal opinion for the most part.

Hope that helps you understand some. Welcome to WDWMagic!

The explanation that I use, tries to parallel the ranking system that they have in The Unofficial Guide

E Ticket - Super Headliner - these are the attractions that drive the attendance to the parks
D Ticket - Headliner/Super Headliner - A notch below E-Tickets, often times this would also include former e-tickets that are no longer "new" or are in need of a refurbishment
C Ticket - Major Attractions - The classic Fantasyland style dark rides would fit into this category.
B Ticket - Minor Attractions - These are the attractions that are of a smaller scope. Some of the Spinner attractions would fit this bill
A Ticket - Diversions - These are the attractions like playgrounds.

Could one post some examples of each ticket like in the MK or another park...

For example... Donald's Boat- Aticket... etc...

I would say examples would be:

Space, Thunder and Splash Mountains, Pirates : E-ticket
Buzz Lightyear and Small World: D-ticket
Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh: C-ticket
Swiss Robinson Tree House and TTA: B-ticket
Main Street Vehicles and Stitch (ok so it really isn't but it should be): A-ticket

Though given it's popularity you could probably argue that Peter Pan is a D-ticket. It sort of breaks down as the heavy hitters, the unique rides that aren't quite at Space Mountain level of popularity, the standard dark rides, etc.

Excuse me, we're getting off topic here, this thread is about the "final" list for Fantasyland, not how the A-E tickets would play out today if still in use.

Come to think of it, this is a bit backwards. Shouldn't the better/greater attractions be an A and the worst be an E? :p

With the Beauty and the Beast restaurant and the Little Mermaid ride taking up a lot of the space it's taking, it would seem quite difficult to create a Snow White/Seven Dwarfs' Mine roller coaster. Here's a shot to show what I'm talking about (sorry it's so small):

It just seems like it would be extremely difficult to put the new Snow White ride in there.

i just hope they are going back the original idea of cinderella and aurora meet and greet. i know many people say its going to be lame but it can be a kidcot thing. and its between two buildings that are always going to be packed. lol. this is if the snow white mine ride gets scrapped. =)
