fights at WDW

The last time we were at Hollywood Studios, we were in line for Toy Story Mania and a couple behind us started fighting about another family that was apparently traveling with them. The woman yelled at the husband that she wanted nothing more to do with "them" and said that this was the worst vacation ever. He screamed back at her that it was her idea in the first place. Wasn't pretty.

I saw a fight break out at MK over a family blocking the view for another family's children at parade time. The fight (with punches being thrown) spilled out into the path of the oncoming parade. The performers just marched in place until security got control of the situation.

I wouldn't call it a fight, but I thought an old lady was about to swing on me once. My son and I were leaving the land pavilion. He was walking a few feet ahead of me. Lady on cart comes speeding down the ramp toward the garden grill restaraunt. This cart was fast y'all. She drove right at him and he had to jump out of the way. I said something to her. Don't remember what. Slow down, or watch for children lead foot or something like that. She stopped the cart and got and started waving her finger in my face and stuff. I was like whoa lady you're the one mowin kids down and walked away.

I've almost been involved in two, although I don't go seeking trouble out. The first time was when these two couples used their strollers to block my wife and kids trying to get onto the monorail and they (wife and kids) almost got sandwiched by the doors. I expressed my displeasure with the one gentleman and moved on from there.

The second time was when that young dude put his hands on my daughter, which you can read in my live trip report from last month.

I despise those carts. I wish you would've tipped her over.

Leaving Epcot after ROE, probably 2010, we hear shouting and look over to see a guy grabbing another by his shirt collar. The guy is shouting "You just spilled that on my kid"; coffee, alcohol, I don't know. A third guy comes along and grabs the first guy by HIS shirt collar. I'm tempted to join in on this shirt-collar-grabbing conga line. Suddenly, the first guy lets go of the second, the third guy lets go of the first, everyone walks away straightening their collars. Not much of an ending.

Took my team to F&G one year and one of my guys, FSU fan who never attended, had a few and decided to start fights with Florida fans. I put a stop to that real quick. No punches were thrown.

Have witnessed an all out brawl once on Christmas morning at Coronado Springs Resort. We were at the bus stop early for the 8 AM opening. It was about 6 AM and a small crowd had gathered. There was no set line but MOST everyone seemed to agree it would be first come first on when the MK bus arrived. The bus arrives...a family comes running up and is pushing around everyone to get on the bus. Pushing family dad gets into an argument with another dad. Swear words are flying, punches are being thrown, bus driver was calling for security, children were crying and the two wives were going at it verbally. ALL while blocking the rest of us from getting onto the bus. Security detained both families. I just remember feeling awful for the kids in both families...here it was Christmas morning and they were anticipating a family day in MK and they didn't even clear the bus stop.

Go to YouTube and search 'Disney World fight' and you get tons of results, which is unfortunate. I would post some examples for convenience but don't want to get in trouble for the very disturbing nature of some of them so I shall let you do that part for yourselves ;)
