Few Questions

Hello All,

Sorry for the million questions I am about to ask. We have our trip booked and I know it will be up to me to manage our plans.

The wife, myself, 23yo daughter, and 15yo daughter are heading to Disney World October 7-12. We will be staying at one of the All-Star resorts and we purchased 3-day park tickets (non-hopper). Hoping to spend a night at HHN in addition to Disney. Been watching a bunch of YouTube videos (allears, DFB, mammoth, etc.) to learn what we can prior to going (basically genie+ content). I have ended up with a few additional questions and was hoping maybe someone in this community could clear it up for me.

  • Our current plan is 2x days at Magic Kingdom and 1x day at Hollywood Studios. Should we purchase the park hopper and try to manage multiple parks, for example we go to Animal Kingdom in the first half while lining up rides at Magic Kingdom for the 2nd half?
  • If the hopper is the preferred option, then what would be the ideal park makeup for the 3-days?
  • If we don’t get the park hopper, should we still try to line up rides for the 2nd half of the day?
  • What is the priority for genie+ rides at Magic Kingdom? Hollywood Studios?
  • Are there more desirable time slots when using genie+? I guess I am really asking, what is the “ideal” genie+ line up if one were so lucky?
  • As far as genie+ goes and how it works. I understand the being able to use @7 and then having to wait until you use your time slot or miss it, the being able to use it after 2hrs since reserving (from park opening time). But when reserving a 2nd ride, can it be before or after the other reserved ride or does it not even matter?
I appreciate any and all assistance, thank you.

It's easy for us to say "purchase park hopper" but only you know your budget. I'm going with a family of three in March and they purchased 3-day non-park hopper "Disney Thrills" Florida Resident tickets. They are solid on not hopping to save money. We're doing one day each, MK, Epcot, and HS. They knew they wanted to do MK and HS and chose Epcot over AK.

For you, I think your non-hopping plan of 2 days MK and 1 day HS is good

Regarding priority, purchase ILL for 7 Dwarfs and Rise of the Resistance as close to 7am as possible. Obviously join the VQ for Tron at 7am. Slinky Dog tends to go fast so make it one of your first G+. So many in MK, it's hard to choose. Probably either Peter Pan or Space Mountain.
