In then name of sitting out in the sun the least amount of time, I've had good luck grabbing a spot about 2:30 in Frontierland, near the Country Bears is best. Main Street gets pretty full by 2:15. Town Square isn't bad either, you can probably find a front row by 3:00, but it's much slower than previous parades and takes a while to get there.

I forgot about the new parade. I have not seen the daytime parade since 2009. I will try and grab a spot after lunch my first day along Main Street.

I'd forgotten about the parade for most of the trip last week, and stumbled into the MK as it was about to start. The boys didn't want to wait around, so they pressed on to HM. Apparently they got a pretty sweet view of the dragon at one point. Meanwhile DDViv and I darted up to the platform in front of the train station where there was still plenty of seating and space. Got a great view. I'm not a great photographer so my timing was a little off. :p But still, the view was nice.

ETA: that was last Thursday, a couple hours before it dumped buckets. Then we darted over to see Aurora with no wait.
