February or April

We are trying to decide when to book our vacation. I think we narrowed it down to the last week of February or the last week of April. The prices look to be about the same right now. Anyone have any input about which one to choose? Thanks for the help.

I've never been there in April, but we were there the last week of February this year and it was glorious. Low crowds, (lots of walk-on rides in the morning and evening), great weather (pleasantly warm but not roasting or humid, cooler at night), the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot wasn't on yet, but they were setting up so we got kind of a preview of the plants and flowers.

The April dates would let you attend the Flower and Garden Festival, since it would be open then, but I would imagine that also brings with it higher crowds, and the temperature (if similar to this year's pattern) will be about 10 degrees hotter than in February.

February would get my vote for sure!

Being from snowy, icy, cold, miserable, frigid Maine... I'd go in Feb.... to give me a welcomed break from some part of the winter cold. When we've gone to WDW in Feb. it always has helped shorten our winter pain ;). Coming back we know Spring melt is just around the corner.:joyfull:

Except this last winter! We spent the entire freaking month in Orlando and came back to the exact same mountains of snow that we'd left in January, and spring took forever to show up! Fingers crossed that this winter is a little less ridiculous. Last year was just insane.

I went in February this year and had a wonderful trip but going in April 2015. I also enjoyed the escape from all the snow in February and the crowds were pretty low.

February if you're going for beautiful weather, April if you want to do Flower and Garden (which is basically Food and Wine lite now). I grew up in Florida and HATE the hot and humid spring/summer/early fall weather so personally I would opt for February.

February tends to be a slower time. Historically crowds are low in February but there are also several rides closed for refurbishment as they prepare for the Spring Break crowds. Splash typically goes down in January and or February for a short time. Park hours also tend to be a little shorter because of the lower crowds. April can be tricky. Easter is at the beginning of the month in 2015, so you'll avoid that crowd. Easter is a bad time to go, it's almost as bad as Christmas. At the end of the month you might start seeing more crowds. We're getting to the end of the school year and schools make class trips to Disney. That tends to happen more in May but it can also happen in late April.
