Hi !
The weather will be cold, certainly it would freeze if the sun shine. You might too have some rain and the weather will certainly be cloudy.
About the crowd, the Tower of Terror will be open for early january, so with the 15th anniversary celebration continuation, there might to be more people that last year at the same time.
But it is very quiet during the week :animwink:

I went early Feb in 2006. It was cold, very cold. All the standing water, fountains, drinking fountains etc were frozen solid. It looked very nice though. The rainforst cafe had a certain ironic beauty with frozen waterfalls.
We had no rain (lucky) so all we did was wrap up warm and spend all day round the parks, back to the room at closing time for a quick warm-up shower and then out for food. A quick tip for you - if your cold then go on Pirates, As soon as you enter the queue you get a blast of heat that feels wonderful and continues right until you have to bring yourself to go back into the cold at the end of the ride.
Queues were almost non existant. I think I had to queue for about 15mins once for BTMRR but everything else was simply walk-on.
Getting food at the restaurants was a little tricky. I was less educated in the ways of Disney back then so we made no reservations and didn't really think about eating in any of the in-park restaurants. We simply went to Disney Village, found something we liked the look of and waited 10mins till a table became free. The food is a little expensive but I'm sure you expected that!
A quick word of warning - there were no fireworks!

well i usually stay like new port or cheyanne, but this time due to money matters im staying at the santa fe, i considered the fact that i wont be in the room that often, and i dont think ill eat at the hotel. is it any good never stayed there? or better than i think its going to be?
last time iw ent to paris was when studios opened and i was there in february when i was a little one and i remember the giant icicles from the skull. and you jolted my memory with the heat in potc. very much looking forward to tot :slurp:

I was going to stay in the santa fe in 2006 but with the offers at the time it worked out cheaper to stay in the sequioia (sp???). When we arrived to check-in we were greeted by a CM who said "Would you like to upgrade to the Disney Land Hotel?". No extra costs or anything!!! They must have been doing some refurb or perhaps an inspection.
I'm hoping to go again either late next year or early 2009. Were off to WDW for our honeymoon in April so I guess it depends how much we spend when we're there!
I love how close everything is in DLP. In a few mins you can walk from anywhere to anywhere else. Makes me a little nervous about going in a busy period though.
