FCF Closure

As of yesterday 8/3 the Fantasyland Character Festival will be closed until further notice. The Queen of Hearts can now be found in front of The Mad Tea Party and Prince John will be in Town Square.

What?! So they're leaving that whole area there UNUSED? I mean, nothing in that area has never been left empty! Geez! Why do they have to do this?

It seem like everything is closing in the parks or its a rehab excuse. Hope when we go in sept something will be open!!

Are those the only two characters from that location that will still be appearing at MK. Seems like in previous times I've been to WDW, Cruella, Jafar, the Queen, or a few other Villians appeared there as well. Are any of these characters going to be relocated in the park?

I remember the first time that I went to WDW after the character thingy had opened - I seriously did think that they had converted the old 20,000 into an Ariel Submarine Ride of some sort (That was before I knew about the forums), they must have read my mind somehow :lookaroun :lookaroun :lol:

i'm really hoping they'll turn this into Mermaid Lagoon. this area has gone far too long with nothing occupying it (i don't at all consider a meet n' greet as something worth while to put there) that is, specifically the lagoon has gone empty for far too long. i'm not seeing how adding Mermaid Lagoon would have any negatives at all, so i say they should go for it! what all exactly would Mermaid Lagoon consist of, anyway?

I hope this means things are starting up for the mermaid lagoon rumored to go in! Yipee!:sohappy: I really hope they do something with that area, it's not really doing a whole lot right now.

Jafar was moved to Adventureland earlier last month, Cruella will probably be making appearances in Town Square or at the Castle Hub. Others are more of random Villians that might not had any evil plans to make that day.

Hmmm...Finally a step towards doing something in that area. Little Mermaid's fine. As long as Sebastions in it. lol

This seems like good news. An actual attraction based on Little Mermaid would be a perfect addition for Fantasyland. My one request: Please Please Please get rid of the old 20,000 Legues Queue soon. That green tent is just too ugly. It made for one long, hot queue and a fairly unatractive character location.
