Favorite non-park places to eat in Orlando and Kissimme?

I was wondering if anyone had some advice about good places to eat in or around the theme park areas. I've heard the WDWFanboys dudes talk about going to the lobster buffets...

Personally a place I would highly recommend is Kona dog on International Drive. It's basically a little tiki hut that serves Hawaiian-style hot dogs. I saw Food Network special on these things years ago and talked about how good the real things are, with the Hawaiian sweatbread buns and the fruit relishes, so when I saw this place at 10:00 on a stormy, post-Islands of Adventure night I had to try it. It wasn't cheap for a hot dog, but it was definitely worth it, and for a unique food experience that I didn't think could be had outside of Hawaii, lots of fun.

So, what have y'all tried and liked?
There's like a thousand weird buffets up and down the strip and I'm curious which ones are any good.

Fundrucker's at the cross roads is a good choice if you are looking for simple. Great burgers cooked to order (ie not burned to a freaking crisp) milkshakes and deserts. They even carry a few exotic burgers such as buffalo, wild boar and elk. Their fries and onion rings are pretty good as well.

Looks like the Kona Dog stand closed a while back.
Sad.
Edit: Looks like the owners have gone to a mobile truck-based business instead, so if you can spot them, try it.

My friends and i are partial to Pointe Orlando. We've stayed for conferences at the Rosen Plaza hotel a couple of times, and from that location in particular, it couldn't be more wonderful. There are so many choices, we always find something we want. IMHO the highlights are Adobe Gila's (very friendly and good, inexpensive texmex), The Pub (great patio, live music, fish&chips), Copper Canyon (classy yet comfortable) and you can't beat Capital Grille for a special occasion. Funky Monkey has an amazing drag show on Sat nights, if you are so inclined.
I've eaten at all these places repeatedly and always have a good time and a delicious meal.
