I figured with all this negative talk in the discussions we have a cheery thread the parks all have their flaws sure, but they are still a great experience without a doubt. So my question for you guys is what is your favorite spot to relax, reflect and get away from crowds in the parks? I have several, over at magic kingdom the walkway on the right of Cinderella's castle near sleepy hollow refreshments they always have benches, but we never use em. Instead we like to sit on the side concrete and watch the parade go by in the comfort of the shade. Over in Storybook circus the brick walls near dumbo are great to stop and have a treat and people watch at night plus I feel story book circus looks best at night. My favorite has to be that little street to nowhere on main street. For Hollywood studios I think the streets of america (Not during its crowdedness/usefulness during the winter) especially the san Francisco street sometimes we just sit in front of the Chinese shop and talk for abit. Epcot really anywhere outside, there are tons of nice spots to sit and absorb scenery I like the pathways through flowers near innoventions. As for animal kingdom my favorite are the trails underneath the tree of life, especially near the catfish grotto. How about you guys?

When we take a midday break from the magic kingdom, we monorail it over to the Grand Flo, let our boy fall asleep in the stroller while wheeling him around the serene lobby as a pianist plays in the background, hubby and I get some tea at the Garden View, then upstairs near Citricos entrance they have a few tables/chairs. We park our stuff there and it's completely quiet as the restaurant isn't open till dinner. We have windows giving us a great view of GF grounds, and the restroom next to V&A is also completely quiet and clean. We change for dinner there. We usually stay at the Dolphin so going back there for midday break on MK day isn't ideal. This quiet cozy GF escape midday is just perfect.

I am usually with my three children, there is such a thing as a chill spot or quiet place?
EPCOT: Fountain outside Mouse Gears
MK: Tables outside Pecos Bills, there are a few that are kind of hidden.
DHS: Hollywood Boulevard benches (almost had an anxiety attack during Star Wars weekend)
Resort: French Quarter boat dock watching the water.

It's not that often that we take a break....but in Epcot I like to sit on a bench facing the water. There's usually a lovely breeze and we enjoying watching the ducks and birds and seeing Spaceship Earth in the distance.

By far my favorite would be the Fountain Courtyard in Morocco at Epcot. So peaceful in there. The artistry on the tiles is beautiful. The background music is relaxing. Very few people pass through there. I’ve been known to sit in there for an hour and do nothing else.

Honorable mentions:
MK: Upstairs at Columbia Harbor House or the “boardwalk” in frontierland at night.
DHS: The area near Mama Melrose and the Muppet store is usually pretty empty
AK: Tables behind the Yak and Yeti Counter service and the FTB seating when its not too busy
Epcot: Besides Morocco, the area over by Ellen is usually pretty quiet, as is the seating for the bakery in Norway.

Epcot - Innoventions West (When it's empty and I can hear my loop in peace)
AK - Adjacent to Theater in The wild (Another area with a jungle-esque feel with a great loop that is unappreaciated since you can only hear it in that area)
MK - The seating area by the former Skyride and Space Mountain
DHS - Backlot Express It's always nice and quiet when I go there..
DTD - West side right behind HOB & Bongo's there's a bunch of benches and a view of the Lake...

I love sitting on the curved benches along the walkway ("bridge") to Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom. It's a great place to watch fireworks, or just to relax and take in the scenery. There is one in particular where my family sat -- and my parents danced -- on the last night of our last trip to WDW when my Mom was alive, so that precise spot also holds beautiful memories for me.

My favorite this past trip was the little patio right in front of Yak and Yeti CS window, it's close to the percussion instruments but no one seemed to gravitate towards them for some reason and I had a few blissful moments of peace to get over my first and last margarita ever. Never again, ever.

Love these types of posts .. It's like learning about top secret information :)

In Epcot, I like the little path in China beside the circlevision. There is a tiny little bridge and bench that you can use to escape the crowds for a bit. Also, in Japan the little path that leads up to the CS restaurant (Katsura grill) is normally pretty quiet and has some shade.
