My all time best memory was staying at the Neverland Club at the Polynesian when I was about 8 years old. I didn't even know it was a babysitting service until 10 years later! When my sister and I were there, I thought my parents had just dropped us off so we could play. It was amazing! The free video games, the movies, the characters, the hot dogs! I get chills remembering. :)

I also remember waiting in line for Space Mountain with my dad when I was barely tall enough to ride. And when we were in the big part waiting in line I remember looking up and seeing the shooting stars, only I thought what I was seeing was the roller coaster cars! I was so excited to ride, because I thought the ride was SOOO high up and SOOO fast. When I got on the coaster I never knew the difference because it was all in the dark, so I thought I had really gone up that high!

My last memory would be staying at the Grand Floridian right after it opened. The maid would put a little disney card with a piece of chocolate on our pillows. It was so exciting getting back to the room and getting the chocolate and reading the card.

I can tell you my worst memory.

I was about 2 and my parents and brother and I were on a trip to WDW. It was just about closing time for MK and I really wanted to ride the carousel. My brother however (edwardtc...you can make fun of him when you get a chance) was 3 years older and wanted to ride Dumbo. So of course the parents went with him because I was just a stupid little kid. So my brother and I rode Dumbo with my mom while my dad ran back and bought a Davy Crockett coonskin hat for my brother. After Dumbo was over we went over to the carousel just so they could appease me. However, the last run of the carousel was finishing as we got there and the only thing I got to do was sit on one of the horses and cry my eyes out. So, because of my brother I never got to ride the carousel as we were leaving the next morning.

So, if you get a chance, let edwardtc know that he is a big jerk.:)

Actually...I have a couple. I remember the first time I laid eyes on our hotel...the Contemporary in 1975. I thought WOW! We're actually here...this place really exists! Then, seeing Cindy's castle for the first time and being in awe of it. But, I think the main thing I remember is riding the HM with the family (Mom & I in one doom buggy and Dad, bro & sis in another) and getting stuck on the ride for about 45 mins while coming down the stairs. That was wild but Mom wasn't too impressed!

My greatest memory would have to be waiting for the monorail and the humming noise it made when it arrived. And how can anyone ever forget the sound of the doors opening and closing on the old mark IV monorails?

My greatest Disney childhood memory has got to be walking under the train station & looking down Main Street & getting my first glimpse of that magical castle.........I knew I was finally there!!!!

My very first memory is actually of WDW. My parents took me there for my third birthday. We went to the character breakfast aboard the Empress Lilly (now Fulton's Crab House). I remember a CM calling out my name to the restaraunt and announcing that it was my birthday, then holding me up. Afterwards, we went outside and took pictures under a Mickey topiary. Thats about all I can remember.

My fondest memories as a child are of WDW. I started going back in 1973 and as a family went every year for the next 10. That being said I have many I could mention, but will limit to a couple as I can't limit it to just one (sorry about that).

I agree with who ever mentioned the monorail doors. I remember the CMs coming by and slaming them shut before departing. I remember listening to them coming louder and louder...

I remember sitting on Main Street sidding on a rock wall around a planter (which I don't remember seeing now, it must be gone) and eating rock candy from the candy store and watching the 3:00 parade. Chip and dale were riding in a small little Herbie the Love Bug.

Just being with my family (two sisters and mother and father). We were so close and it was the best time of every year.

Hmm I would have to say going on my first ride at disney when I was 9. It was the teacups.. I went on with my stepmom and dad recorded the whole thing!! Everytime I go to disney I have to hit the teacups to relive my childhood experiences!!! :hammer:
