What are your favorite backstage tours? On my trip in mid-October (10/19-10/25), I've decided to take three of them:
  • Wild Africa Trek (10/20)
  • UnDISCOVEREed Future World (10/22)
  • Keys to the Kingdom (10/24)
What are your opinions of these? Others?

Of the three you have mentioned I have only done Keys to the Kingdom. It was lots of fun and provided us with some information we didn't know, but there was a lot of it that we did know. I think the highlights were going backstage and in the utilidoors. The utilidoors weren't that exciting, just like long basement hallways, but it is a "forbidden" place so that was exciting to us.

We have also done Behind the Seeds, and even though I'm not a big gardener I am fascinated with the greenhouses of the Land. It was a really nice tour and it was interesting to see the innovative gardening styles. And it was a very affordable tour monetarily and time wise too. I like that it was about an hour so it didn't eat away at our park time.

We've done:
  • Keys to the Kingdom-MK (excellent, loved backstage & utilidors)
  • Backstage Safari-AK (nice behind the scenes tour of how they care for the animals-very impressive the depths they go to for the animal care)
  • Wild Africa Trek-AK (spectacularly awesome, this was such a great experience)
  • Magic Behind the Steam Trains-MK (very imformative, especially for train lovers or fans of Walt's love of trains)
  • Dolphins in Depth-EP (really cool backstage tour of "the seas" and educational info on dolphins, actual time in the water with doplhins was short but also very cool to do; awesome/gentle/smart animals)
  • Marceline to Magic Kingdom-MK (kinda lame, but brand new)
  • Behind the Seeds-EP (didn't think I'd really like this but I really did; learned a ton about advanced methods of growing that Disney is doing; really neat)

I have loved every single one of them except Marceline to Magic Kingdom (kinda lame) but it was brand new at the time so may not have been refined yet.

I might be able to squeeze in one more, Behind the Seeds, on 10/23. It's only about $30 or so and is first thing in the morning. Haven't decided yet. Definitely want to try Backstage Safari and Behind the Steam Trains in the future.
