Ok, since we've gotton some news that AE might be turning into a lousey Stitch ride, lets look at the past, remember, and share our favorite memories of this beloved ride. Here's Mine:

When I went on this ride for the first time, it had been a little while since I was at WDW, and my mom was making me go on it for the first time. Now, I had heard alot about how scary this attraction was, and I really didn't go on it. Later my Mom forced me on the ride, quiet, but terrified inside. We saw the first two preshows, and proceded into the main chamber. There it was, the ominous X-S series 3000 teleportation device. Man, was I scared. I sat through the entire ride in pure terror, but came okut so happy and ready for more! It really shook up my Mom though. It was immidiately my favorite ride. Now, I'm going to need to decide which ride is now my favorite since AE is going away................. * qeues taps music * man, I'm gonna miss this thing.

..... We're seizing the futer!!!!!!!!!!

I remember mine....

It was my first ride, about 8 months after opening. I remember squeezing my moms hand so hard through the whole thing. But after it all ended I was fine and ready for more! I guess the tension built up on me since a friend of mine went on it and even  ! What a wuss. But that was like 7 or 8 years ago.......

Personally I think it is about time they change it (or close it entirely and do something spectacular with the building). I never understood the fuss over this attraction. The preshow is elaborate and builds the expectations, only to be followed by a major letdown of a show. The last time I rode it, my speaker wasn't working and so after the show, I approached a cast member and told him what had happened and asked if I could ride again without having to wait in line. He treated me like he thought I was making it up in order to not have to stand in line. That was one of only two bad cast member experiences I've ever had at Disney, but it has always left a bad taste in my mouth about an attraction that already wasn't that great to begin with. Sorry to add a negative post to this thread. I'm sure I'm pretty much alone in my opinion of AE.

AE Experience

I have always thought that AE was a fun experience but not very thrill packed..But my memorie was recently Oct 2002, I helped an obvious first timer to AE...she was about 6 or 7...and got seperated from her family cause there wasnt enough seats in the second row..So she joined me and my sisters, right smack dab in the middle...front row...she lightly tapped me on the arm and expressed her hightening fear..I told he it was gonna be ok and if she needed to close her eyes, and hold on to my hand....She did niether cause gradually as the show went on she was having fun...then when the lights go out...she screamed, grabbed my arm and squeezed so hard that I think she took a chunk out of my forearm..When it ended, she met with her mom and was quickly yelled at for leaving her family...So I dont know if she was more scared from the show or her mom..... But I will miss AE but probably wont be too excited about a "Stitch" expericence....

I agree with Merlin. I just didn't think it was all that great. The theming was well thought of and the preshow was OK (I thought that the pre-pre-show with the television screens saying what would be at the Convention Ceneter was the best part of the show), but other than that it was fairly sadistic- much too much for a Disney attraction, or at least my view of Disney. If I wanted something like this, I would go to Universal.

I guess my favorite AE memory was my last show. I took everything in. I was the last person in the group and really looked at everything I could because I knew it was my last show. I even saw things in the three rooms that I had never noticed before. Sure I had tears in my eyes but I sat in the seat that gets "picked" to travel across the galaxy. That was the first time that's ever happened and I didn't expect it. That sorta felt like a nod to me because this is my favorite attraction in the world. And I'll never forget that time because (very fittingly) it was pouring the rain outside and I was about the only person who wasn't inside or under shade. I turned around and looked at the wonderful glowing sign for the last time and a big smile came across my face. And I was sort of able to "let go". Sure this might sound kinda stupid to alot of people but when you go to Disney as much as we do and it means so much to you, attractions feel like friends and family. And that day I lost (what felt like) my best friend.

But I will always be able to wear the AE T-Shirt I've got and when people ask me about my shirt in the parks I will be able to tell them about the best show in Disney history (for me at least). Those will be many other great AE moments.

My favorite AE esperiance would have to be the last time I saw it. It was my boyfriends first time and I didn't tell him anything about it, so he was already a little nervous. We got into the room and he asked me what the sholder harnesses were for and all I told him was that he'd find out. Well, when the attraction went dark he screamed louder than anyone else in the room. He yelled throught the whole attraction, it was hillarious. I'll never forget that.

My favorite memory was the day I heard they were going to be replacing this loser attraction with (hopefully) something that is halfway entertaining. :sohappy:

Just a little note to everyone, but can we have no more " i don't like this attraction " posts because this is a thread to share your favorite memories of this ride. Thank you.

Oh man, Im really gonna miss this ride. One of my best memories there was when I went on with my friends for the first time, back in January. The whole time I was freaked out and when the tube broke I screamed so loud, for the rest of the ride my friends kept poking me and even threw some stuff at me just to freak me out. They still joke about it to this day.

Yeah, not that great, but it was funny when it happened.

I remember the first time I rode this attraction. I was maybe 5 or 6 (and no I was not traumatized for life!!! JUST HAVING A HEART ATTACK  ) My family just got done watching timekeeper and my dad looked down at me and asked if I would like to go see another robot. (typical dad line huh) So I said yes and when I saw S. I. R. I instantly knew that It was a bad idea (kind of ironic if i think about it now because S. I. R. is my favorite character.) I screamed my guts out. My Mom said she needed to do it again because she couldn't enjoy it since she was trying to calm me down. It took me two more rides when I was about ten not to scream (I just closed my eyes and kept saying to my self "its only a puppet, its only a puppet, its only a puppet.") That's my memory.
