Does anyone know if any of this attraction will stay after the 100 years celebration? I'd think they could at least keep the short film at the end of the attraction

Heck, in that case, they should just keep it out on loan and use it for a celebration every other year! I'm sure they can think of something else to celebrate after Disneyland's 50th. Epcot's 25th is comming up in 2007....

I went to see it to get out of the heat. I'm glad I did.

It's the first Disney sponsored biography, that told about the GOOD YEARS, and the BAD.

It really gave you a good perspective of Walts life, and where he came from.

I loved the attraction! That was the highlight of my last trip. I had read Walt's biography "An American Original", and it was like everything, all the memorabilia and stuff from the book (like the "dancing man", the Snow White oscars, etc.) was all there. I have a Walt Disney biography CD with a "Virtual Tour" of Walt's office. It was all there! I hope that I will be able to see some of that stuff again in the future.

It's Gonna Be Gone Before You Know It

The attraction was obviously just a 1 or 2 year attraction, only put in MGM to add to the 100 Years Of Magic celebration and fill up space. The attraction was something quickly thought up by WDI. They needed something cheap and they needed more things to tell the world about "Whats New" at Walt Disney World.

Although it will be sent over to the Disneyland Resort, it will not be there for long either. It will only stay for the 50 years of Disneyland celebration and then away it goes, probably to another celebration at another Disney resort.

Now, I am going to Walt Disney World this summer and plan on visiting the Walt Disney: One Man's Dream attraction, and I am sure it will be interesting. I can't wait to go there this summer! I will be going from July 20 - 29. I will be performing there at the Magic Kingdom July 27 and at Pleasure Island July 25.:sohappy:

See, now thats just not fair!!!!! They should keep the darn attraction at WDW... now I will have to go to DL to see it again.... :( NOT FAIR!!!! That is by far the best footage/bio of Walt Disney I have ever seen in my life.

PS: I also read the Walt Disney: An American Original, and I loved it. I even cried at the end when they got to his death... (long live Walt)

Yes, that is a very good book. Any Walt fans out there should read it. I think Ive read it more than a few times already.

I wonder if they will ever send that stuff overseas? The overseas public probably knows less about Walt Disney than people over here.

I thought they could move the hat and one man's dream, to another section of the park. (Have the hat as the entrance to one man's dream?????).

Plus, WDW want to make the "hat" the Icon of the MGM-Studios (aswell as the water tower) instead of the Chinese theatre. This is because the "hat" has a direct relation to Mickey Mouse himself, whereas the Chinese Theatre didnt (from the outside). This idea has also been seen at Epcot where they decided to replace the "2000" with "Epcot" as they thought Spaceship Earth by itself didnt tie in well with the Disney Name.

Or so Ive heard...

Interesting, because I felt, Walt: The Man Behind the Myth did exactly that. I really liked that movie, I just wished it had said more about WDW.

Anyways, it's a pity One Man's Dream is not staying, I'd really have like to see it.

What are you performing as? Maybe I'll see you, if I know what to look out for!

I lot of the artifacts at One Man's Dream would not make sense at Disneyland...like the Tower of Terror model...and they could easily keep the movie at our park. Much like the Millennium Celebration, I think that this attraction will stay, in a scaled-back form, beyond the end of the celebration due to its enormous popularity.

I must say that One's Man Dream should definitely stay!!! It's great to see all the artifacts and memorabilia from past to present!!! This is by far the best attraction for the 100 years celebration!!!
