Fastpass Plus Be Our Guest Conflicting Reports

I of course saw the article and forum post concerning how Be Our Guest was supposedly taking fastpass plus reservations for lunch and if you didn't have one they would give you a fastpass upon arriving at the restaurant. However I noticed when looking to book fastpass plus today (60 days out today) that Be our Guest wasn't one of the selections. I called and spoke with a Disney cast member and according to the woman I spoke to the fastpass plus option for Be Our Guest was "invitation only" but couldn't elaborate how one would be invited. She also said the stand by line was still in effect and that no hard ticket fast pass would be handed out for people walking up without a fastpass plus....anyone care to clear up the confusion here? Thanks

FP+ for BOG is a totally different system from attraction FP+. It's offered only to those staying on property. You may get an e-mailed "invitation" or you may simply find one day that you can make a FP+ reservation on this site: https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com/.

For our last trip in May, I just visited the above site (I'll call it the "BOG FP+ Site") every day, as did a bunch of other members on here who were traveling around the same time. Apparently blocks of dates are opened every few weeks, because one of the members with a May travel date discovered that FP+ had "opened up" on the BOG FP+ site one afternoon a few weeks ahead of time (and notified the rest of us that she knew were visiting WDW then),and all of us traveling in May were immediately able to make FP+ reservations at BOG. (Previous attempts had simply shown that was "no availability," not because FP+ were fully booked, but because BOG FP+ hadn't been released for our travel dates yet.)

Just keep watching the BOG FP+ site. It should release your dates about 2-4 weeks prior to travel, if not earlier.

One tip about the BOG FP+ site: once reservations are made available and you choose a date, it will offer you a couple of 1-hour time brackets from which you can choose. If you don't like the times that are offered, simply refresh the page (or click the back button and proceed forward again with the reservation process) and you'll be offered a new choice of time slots.

Very interesting, thanks for the help! I noticed that it wouldn't allow me to put my entire confirmation number into the "reservation ID" box. Is the reservation ID what's emailed to you when it's closer to your trip?

Ours came yesterday for a Sept. stay. Here it is basically with some personal stuff and small print left out:
Bonjour xxxxx,

Now for a limited time, you may be able to participate in a test for lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant. Step inside the Beast’s enchanted castle and experience a meal unlike any before. You can select an arrival window and pre-order meals for your entire party* before arriving at Be Our Guest Restaurant and on the day of your lunch, with your MagicBand**, you’ll be able to breeze by the line, confirm and pay for your order.

To begin, follow the steps below:

Log on to https://BeOurGuestLunch.disney.go.com using your Disney.com account.

1.Enter your Resort Reservation Number to begin: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

2.Select an arrival window and pre-order your meal (arrival windows are subject to capacity and availability).

Don’t forget to wear your MagicBand when you arrive at Be Our Guest Restaurant during your arrival window, and please enter the Disney FastPass+ entrance at the beginning of the bridge. No matter where you dine at Be Our Guest Restaurant your food will be magically delivered to you! Bon appétit!

We have never received an invite but we've done it. So when you get your reservation idea check the special web site. 30 days out is probably right, but keep checking if you can't get in.
60 days out as of today and haven't received an email yet. Tried the website anyways and it asked for my "reservation ID". I'm assuming they meant my resort reservation confirmation number, put that it and nothing happened.

You need your twelve digit reservation number, not the confirmation number that contains letters. If you are using magical express your twelve digit number is on your yellow luggage tags.

I can only find my confirmation number and we aren't flying in so I won't have any luggage tags. Where else would I find my reservation number??

@muse1983, I just spoke with a CM, and the emails are sent out about 28 to 30 days prior to one's arrival date. And yes it is your reservation confirmation number. I had to call because I just had my AAA confirmation number and that does NOT work. Good Luck!!

No it doesn't AAA and Travel Agents have a different number system that won't work for BOG. You will need the confirmation number from Disney. It's 12 numbers no letters.
and where do I get this number?? The only number I have is a confirmation number that starts out with "3YL" and is followed by 5 numbers. Where and when do I get the 12 digit number that was mentioned?
