Fastpass for MK Fireworks

I'm currently setting my faspasses online and I see MK offers one for the evening fireworks. Is there a dedicated area with reserved space, how does it work?

Yes there is and I've done it and I thought it was REALLY worth it! Now I understand not everyone feels that way and there are some drawbacks to it BUT if you like to maximize your MK time and not have to basically "camp" on Main St. for a good viewing place and if you don't like to be cramped up by the crowd I think it's a great option to have. The drawback is you have to have all evening fastpasses to do it. I recommend it but I could see why some wouldn't.

We did it during the 24 hour party last May. It was completely worth it. While the mob fought for space, we had a nice comfortable location and thoroughly enjoyed the show. So I say if you are going at a busy time, it is definitely worth considering.

I think it is a waste of a FP. We go in June and found a great spot in the hub about 45 minutes before Wishes. I prefer watching from behind the castle by the carousel, actually.

To expand on the yes and no votes above with some specifics...

As part of the recent Hub redesign, they added two "park" areas on either side of Main Street for FP+ fireworks viewing. They have artificial turf on the ground, and are open for people to relax in during the day. Sometimes characters like Mary Poppins will do Meet & Greets in the parks.

About 60 minutes before the fireworks they'll clear the parks of all Guests and then only admit people with FP+ reservations (there are entrances with FP+ posts like at the rides). If you have a FP+ I believe you have free choice of entering the East or West viewing areas. The view is essentially the same, though the East (Tomorrowland) side is closer to where Tink flies during Wishes.

In my opinion, it's worth it if you can pick it up as one of your additional FP+ after you use your first three, or if it's something like your arrival day and your FP+ choices will all be in the evening anyway. Or perhaps if you have dinner reservations and you know you'll be cutting it close to fireworks showtime.
