I have to imagine the bus. But if you have the time, MK via epcot is much more fun. When I stayed at the Swan, we did that trek once. It's going to take you 10-20 minutes just to get to the International Gateway, 20-30 minutes to get to the front of Epcot, and then 15-20 minutes to MK via monorail. Those are just estimates, but I think you are looking at at least an hour and that's if you are really huffing it.

When we did it, however, it was more than just trying to get from point A to B. We grabbed some snacks in the WS and stopped at TT and SE on the way through. It took a few hours, but we were in no hurry to get to MK. We definitely took the bus back to the Swan that night though.

Yeah, if you dont stop for snacking or anything the walk directly from the International Gateway to the Monorail station should be no more than 10 minutes, if you walk at a reasonable pace.

We stay at the Yacht Club and often return to the hotel from MK via the monorail and Epcot.

Assuming the wait for the bus is not unnaturally long, the bus will definitely be the faster way to go to get to MK (especially as the bus to MK from the Boardwalk has no more stops after Boardwalk and heads right to the park; not so on the return trip, where it will stop at the Yacht Club and the Beach Club first).

However, although slower, it is more fun to go through Epcot and take the monorail (assuming you think like I do that the monorail is a ride in its own right).

I think it depends on the bus wait. From what I have read if you don't mind the walk and you are not in a hurry the Epcot rout sounds better. I have done the walk from the Beach Club through to the parking lots a few times.

I also know that you are talking about a good 2 mile or better walk from the Boardwalk to the Monorail. To go from the parking lot at Epcot all the way around through WS back to the parking lot is about 3.5 to 4 miles. I put one of those bike speedometers on my mom's wheelchair. We always keep track the speed we walk and the miles. Usually we walk about 2 mph.

I definitely agree that the Monorail is a ride in itself. I could just spend the day riding it. In fact one time we had friends down that wanted to see a little of Disney but didn't want to take the time for the parks:veryconfu :hammer: :brick:  We took them on the monorail around the hotel loop and around the Epcot loop. They really enjoyed it.

And I don't think anyone can complain about the buses like the people who stay at Fort Wilderness. By the time you get back to the campground either by boat or bus, figure out which bus is going the right way to get to your loop. Wait for at least 2 bus cycles if not 5, and then walk back to your rig. The magic has somehow been lost.:(

I agree the Epcot way is more scenic if you have the time and energy. It is a long walk though. If it's early in the morning and you're fresh it's great, but if you've already spent a day of walking in the park, it's a hike. And I'm young and healthy!

If you're in a rush, definitely take the bus.

It could take quite a long time if you walk through Epcot. The reason is that you have to walk through Epcot (there are a lot of distractions on the way), wait for a monorail, take the monorail to the TTC, wait for another monorail, and take it all the way to the MK.

Since the bus travels primarily on the freeway, it is mucho quicker than the other option.

Here's what I recommend...
Take the bus to the MK in the morning. Then take the monorail to Epcot at night, and walk from Epcot to the Boardwalk. Both Epcot and the Boardwalk are gorgeous and fun at night.
