Faster line: HM or PotC

Good morning, was wondering which line you think is faster moving, Haunted Mansion or Pirates? Thanks for your input

I know that POTC's capacity and line speed can fluctuate quite a bit based on how many boats they're loading. Although I've never measured the speed of the line, POTC usually feels faster to me, but that may have more to do with the fact that it's indoors (and thus a more comfortable wait). If I had to choose between them for a FP, I'd get the FP for HM.

Depending on whose information you use, both attractions have a near-identical hourly capacity. That boils down to them moving at the same speed.

PotC, however, does have the ability to shut down one load platform which would make it load slower under those conditions.

POTC for sure.
HM has a slower load and it stops a lot.

They may have the identical capacity to move people, but when Ive been caught in excessively long lines for both it feels like PoTC takes longer. I dont know what the capacity of the queue areas holds in each, but it sure looks like the wide winding fort queues crams in a lot more bodies and therefore would take longer to get them moving.

I know it's trivial. But the fact you wait in basically 2 lines for HM makes it seem longer to me.

This last trip was one of the first times we waited in the HM non-fast pass line. While I think the wait time in general might be a bit longer than PotC, the interactive areas of the line certainly helped pass the time.

PotC IMO has a great queue/ride system that consistently keeps the line moving. I don’t believe I’ve ever waited more than 30 min for the attraction even with the queue being extended beyond the building.
I agree the HM stops far too often and that absolutely kills the line efficiency.

I have. We got in line when it went back to the doors, and the stand-by time was listed as 45 minutes. It actually took almost 50.

I can't speak for everyone, but I never really mind a long wait in a themed queue like PotC. It gives me a chance to let my eye wander and take in the details that I would normally be running past when the wait is near zero.

Give me the option of a 10-minute wait for the Tea Cups or a 30-minute wait for PoTC and I will take PotC every time.

Is agree! The PotC queue area is so ornate and I discover a new detail almost every time I wait.

Thats weird, because the reason they do pre-shows (sometimes multiple now) is because it makes the wait seem shorter.
