I'm just glad it's Sunday and I have football to watch in the meantime, or I think I'd go crazy staring at the clock and waiting! 6 hours and 40 min!!!

I'm ssoooooooo glad that my SciFi channel airs on East Coast time, even though I'm in CA. :p

I don't have Sci-Fi channel, so I'm afraid I won't be watching.

I hear the UK doesn't even have an air date yet. There's a ton of fans across the pond that are lamenting that right now. Canada doesn't even have an air date yet! :(

Wow... that blew me away!! They did a GREAT job in keeping with the feel of the series. And Rygel, as always, was hilarious!!

However, based on Aeryn's opening voiceover, I have a guess as to how it will end, and that makes me VERY unhappy.

So what way did they bring them back to life this time?

Rygel collected all the pieces of John and Aeryn, and the aliens who killed them put them back together... they said it was an "accident." Whoops, sorry, didn't mean to kill ya, there!

ugh!!!!!! Cable went out 10 minutes before it ended. What did I miss???

That sucks!!! They're re-airing the first part tonight, right before they show the second part. But basically, Jothee showed up and rescued Chiana and D'Argo, and John proved to the Scarrans that he didn't know how to create a wormhole weapon, so of course, they were all of no use to the Scarrans anymore... so just as the episode ended, it got to the point where they had to transfer the baby back to Aeryn, but the Scarrans started to gas them...

OMG, that ending just about had me bawling! Extremely touching moment... it's the Circle of Life! :) Definite thumbs up from me.

I sure hope they continue! At Comic Con, they said it was a matter of ratings, and that they wanted to use this mini to get to a point where the storyline would be in a good place for a theatrical release film. But they left a lot of open questions - Grayza's baby, Rygel going back to Hyneria, etc. So I really hope they intend to resolve that.

Anyone else up for another massive letter writing campaign? :lookaroun

The ending seemed pretty final to me, kind of the same way Babylon 5 ended. I think the loose ends would just turn it into another soap opera. I personally don't want to watch Grayzer or Jon & Aeryn raise children. You can definetly tell that Jon's no longer interested in getting home, so that plot lines over. And also considering they killed off so many characters, the series would just struggle. It's a shame that SCI-FI will put on stupid horror movies, but cancelled one the most inovative sci-fi series ever.

Oh and by the way, on Sunday, they're going to re-broadcast both episodes back to back.

Oh, they definitely left it at a place where they could call it quits, but my inquiring mind wants to see more. :p I certainly don't want it turned into a soap opera, but if they put as much effort into a continuation as they have up to this point, they can pull it off well, I think. I agree - John won't go back to Earth. They made it pretty clear in the last epsode that he was gone for good, and I can't imagine Aeryn wanting to go back, seeing as how she felt so out of place there. But I wanna know how Braca fared! He looked pretty badly hurt at the end. For some unknown reason, I got attached to him over the course of the series.

I saw the ad on TV for the back to back broadcast, but I'll be at work. I did, however, get it on tape.

Oh! This morning they announced a DVD release for it, too! The press release says "over 4 hours of show" which by my count means that deleted scenes must be added in! Among other extras, it'll also have a behind-the-scenes feature. It'll be coming out on Jan 18, 2005 - the same day as the Aladdin sequels! I'll be in heaven!

I agree, i'd love for the series to continue. Just not from where the miniseries ended.

When i first discovered Farscape, i changed my schedule so i could watch. I also watched all the reruns.

Now i guess, i'll just wait for the next good series to come out and then be unjustly cancelled. Because, that's what SCI-FI does. :hammer:

I don't believe it - we are ahead of you over here. The first episode of Battlestar aired on Sky One this week.

I'd say that it shows promise. I find the random switching between regular steady camera work and the "live news zooming for no reason" camera work a little annoying. I'm going to be interested in seeing what Richard Hatch's character is like. They have put a little teaser with him in the trailers.

We did already see the pilot/miniseries earlier this year. It does show some promise. Quite the departure from the original. The plot and premise are the same, but they've really changed some of characters. The special effects are outstanding. I'm looking forward to it.

Now back to Farscape: I was talking with some friends last night. In the mini-series several comments mentioned the origins of the peacekeepers. That sounds like a setup for Farscape to return as a prequal. So, maybe that really wasn't the end after all.

I'm with ya on this one!!!!!!!!! Anyone else think that Ron Perlman would make for an interesting alien that has a recurring role???

When they brought that up in part one, I thought it would be a big point in part two. It really made me curious! By the look on her face, Aeryn made the connection between that and Earth. I was hoping that the revelation would tie in somehow, but it didn't.

I agree - it'd make a really good prequel! There was one episode, i think back in season two, where they went back in time at that battle, and it showed the Peacekeepers something close to their original form as peacekeepers. I, for one, would be interested to see how everything began or changed.
