There must be thousands of 100 Years of Magic signs and merchandise located through all of the parks, resorts, bus stations, monorail stations, gift shops, and much more. Next Friday, February 28th, Walt Disney's 100 Years of Magic Celebrations comes to a close. Many signs will be removed next Friday while the park is closed. Some will be removed in the next coming months. You will most likely be able to purchase these signs on Disney Auction site.

What's next? Many believe this will be a 75th Birthday Party for Mickey, others believe this will be a push for family reunions. Will there be similar light up signs along Main Street USA displaying Disney World's new message "Where Magic lives"?

What did you like and/or dislike about the 100 Years of Magic Celebration? Please comment below...

Even though they've gotten better with all of the themes of their celebrations (from "Remember the Magic" to "Share a Dream Come True"), as stated in many other threads, I think Disney needs to slow down on their celebrations.

I'd have to agree on your likings and dislikings of the celebration...
personally, my fav thing was the magical moments pins... I cant really think of my least fav thing (besides the closing of COP). I'm sure it will come to me as the thread comes along, though...

i agree with MicBat...they should really slow down with the celebrations! one every couple of years is excellent, but i'd prefer them not to burn us out on them. i hope they'll just chill until...well, i was fixing to say the 30th anniversary, but i forgot that was during 100YoM wasn't it? if they did Mickey's 75th, i'd hope it would be for a few months, maybe up to 6-9 months, but not for a year or over.
don't get me wrong, i love the celebrations! but i'd just like to go to Disney World when it's just Disney World, ya know? i think now they should worry about getting the parks back into shape and THEN worry about more celebrations. of course, that's probably not how it's going to go, but that's how i'd do it if i were running things.

have to disagree the tribute to Walt at MGM was good and im cheesed off the kids didnt get to see it ( naughty old parents going to WDW and leaving the bratts with grannie) Perhaps it just wasnt as high profile as the millenium?

It's relaxing to go and not to witness yet another celebration...at least for a while. All the decoration, memorabillia, etc it's too much! Next trip for is 3/7 , it'll be nice to see old plain WDW again.

I personally think a lot of good came from this celebration--and pretty much all of that is staying. Three good parades (Jammin' Jungle being excellent), the kewl Magical Moments Pins, the shimmering banners I really love, I like the Sorcerer Mickey hat, One Man's Dream was a nice touch, Tower of Terror 4, I like Primeval Whirl...for what it is, not an e-ride--plus IllumiNations got a couple great changes, like the addition of more "screamer" fireworks than ever--with different tones! And while Journey Into Imagination w/ Figgy is nothing like the original, it was an improvement over Journey Into Your Imagination. I don't think it was really a bad celebration...by the way, the next celebration is all but officially Disneyland's 50th--and it will be at least a year long...not sure when they will start it. I mean, Disneyland opened in July 1955...when did the 45th Anniversary start? Perhaps it would make sense to have Disney World's portion of this celebration at Animal Kingdom...since they haven't yet had one (and the celebrations have been going rather systematically through the parks) and they are opening (probably) Forbidden Mountain during the 50 Years celebration...

I'm going to miss ToD  , but it will be nice to see a change at WDW, the time between the millenium and 100 YoM was very short, so I think they need to take a break

I'd agree that this celebration was not nearly one of the best. The new parades weren't over the top o anything totally special, and the few new rides that were gotten were nothing special either. ToT4 was really good, but Mission Space was still moving at a snails pace and its been a long time sonce a big ride opened. The sparkling light banners were really neat though, and at night looked so awesome as they twinkled everywhere, especially during Christmas time when I was there. Overall, it was def. nothing too special with the little bit that they had new. Try again Disney, but at a later date, not immediately, please.

I'll be arriving March 1, will the parks be back to normal a couple days after the celebration ends b/c I want the parks to be rid of all 100 years items when I visit. I can't remember when the last time was that a celebration wasn't going on when I visited.

All in all, I thought the Celebration was very good. One Man's Dream was a great addition, as was the new parades and Castle Show. ToD was agood idea, but didn't realy like te execution of it. Still not sure about the Hat, but I guess I should get use to it. Even a few new attractions (not E-ticket, but somenice diversions). I ejoyed it.

Need a break from all the celebrations...can't WDW just be WDW for a change?!?!?!?

On a side note, if its true they'll be auctioning the signs off on the Disney Auction site on E-bay, that's just awesome!
