Two major refurbishment projects will begin soon in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom Park.
On April 19, workers will install a construction wall around the former 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction as part of a seven-month project to clear the land and add landscape for future use. At this time, there are no other plans for the site.
The "it's a small world" attraction will close this summer for an extensive refurbishment as Walt Disney Imagineers install enhanced audio and refurbish the characters and indoor sets. The attraction is scheduled to reopen in spring 2005.
