how cool would it be if once all of new fantasy land opens, they upgrade the "courtyard" area to be more castle like and also refurb peter pan.

Peter Pan is easily the most popular fantasy land attraction, has the longest waits, runs out of fastpasses quickly, and is also a LOW CAPACITY ride, which stinks for how popular the attraction is. since they are removing the bathroom behind the ride, and opening the new tangled bathrooms, there is essentially extra room for the ride to grow!

with that space they could easily remodel the attraction to accomidate at least 3 news scene/areas, being able to add more ride vehicles to the line, and increase capacity! if the have to update and change scenes around to fit more in, so be it! as long as they dont try to add Jake i would love for this to happen!

I think they are unlikely to expand the ride, they are more likely to use the space for some sort of interactive queue.

I could possibly see them updating the look of the Peter Pan, MP, and IASM area to kind of blend the New Fantasyland and the New Tangled bathroom areas a little better. But I can't see this happening right away. I have a feeling that PP will be getting a refurb sometime in the not so distant future and maybe they will address that area then? Always felt that area was a little too out of place, but then again it is Fantasyland.

I don't see them fitting three scenes into that space. I do see them expanding the que or putting in an exit gift shop.

Whereas I'd love to see an exapanded Peter Pan ride, let's be realistic (this is TDO we're talking about after all) the Peter Pan bathroom area will likely become shuttered unused space....or stroller parking.

Adding to the length of the ride would not add to the capacity (only speeding up the ride would).

But I wonder how feasible it would be to install the 2-seat/4-passenger ride vehicles used in DLP's Pan.

It would certainly mean strengthening the current overhead monorail, and probably replacing it, to accommodate double the weight.

But I wonder if the larger vehicles would even be capable of navigating the attraction without major renovations to show scenes.

The easiest addition (if TDO were so inclined) would be to build a ride at the location of the Fairytale Garden which has ample space for a dark ride. Once Princess Fairytale Hall is complete, the Garden becomes somewhat superfluous and is a prime location "in the castle courtyard" -- could easily fit, say, a dark ride themed to Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, Pinocchio, etc.

Not the easiest location, IMO, as the amount of land is less than the queue + showbuild for Pooh, and they'd have to figure out what to do with the backside entrances for Pooh and the new Princess Hall, building an access hallway here would lop off more space, given that for crowd control they probably wouldn't expand much towards the moat, you'd have less land than what Snow White Scary Adventures had available. Plus, this area isn't really in the proper courtyard as it is a transitional area to Tomorrowland and Cosmic Ray's I believe is sort of visible from around this area.

Aesthetically, a new attraction here wouldn't work very well here at all. Would you want to experience a Fantasyland attraction that is 3/4 as long as Snow White and has a view of Tomorrowland . . . probably not.

I think that the easiest chess move for a new attraction would be north of where belle's village is and repurpose the village area for exits/entrances. Wonder what ride they'd put in, hmmm . . .
