"Fantasmic" video, FLA, wanted pls!

Greetings fellow mousketeers!!

I absolutely love the show Fantasmic, and would do just about anything to get a copy of the show at MGM Studios, Orlando, on tape.

Does anyone know how I can do this?

My frequent visits to Ebay have so far proved unsuccessful :brick:

You may notice from my profile that I am from the United Kingdom. I would still be happy to buy a USA NTSC tape because there are companies over here who can transfer it onto a UK PAL tape for a relatively small fee.

I think I might be able to help you out. I forgot I have this tape someone graciously sent me with both the Disneyland and MGM Orlando versions on it. I will have to get his permission, but I was thinking I could encode it to DIVX to play on the computer if anyone is interested. I kinda forgot who sent it to me, so I will have to go digging in the e-mail and write to him. He put ALOT of work into the tape. It's great! I hope he will let me encode it to digital and put on Popkid's server for everyone.

I have taped Fantasmic at WDW when I have visited, but I still purchased a VHS video from a man who I believe is a professional videographer and sold the tapes on eBay. I also bought a tape from him that had all four 100 years of magic parades. They were excellent! I know you said you'd tried eBay but keep trying because I know he sells there. If I find out/remember his eBay ID I'll post again. Good luck!

Good news! I got his permission! I am capping it right now. :sohappy:

As for the avatar.. thanks! It is from a screen cap of the Simpsons episode that recently aired called "Special Edna". It was quite funny. Check it out if you haven't seen it. I think Popkid recently put it up on his irc bot. I was rolling when I seen it.

I have now in my ownership a DVD copy of "Fantasmic", and I am so happy with it.

I tapped in 'Fantasmic' at ebay.com, and discovered that a Rob Davison of Tampa specialisies in DVDs of Disneyworld shows!!

It cost £10/£13 approximately, which isn't bad is it? For UK-based fans, it took about 2 weeks to reach me in Wales!!

I have now ordered a DVD from him featuring the four '100 Years Of Magic' parades.

I hadn't gotten around to capping the version I have on tape yet, but you just reminded me. The tape also has the Disneyland version.

That's the same guy I bought my VHS version from on ebay. He also did a great one of all of the 100 years of magic parades. I was going to tell you that I had two copies of the Fantasmic video and would sell one to someone if interested. I also sell through eBay. Glad you found what you were looking for!
