Thanks for the heads up Rob....btw do you know if this is just a routine refurb or are they making way for additional things in the show?

I really hope that they are changing the Pocohantis scene. I know it probably wont happen with this refurb, but that scene needs to be severely updated. Put Brother Bear in there or something.

I think just some regular maintenance....

No show changes kids. Just some updating of software, cleaning of the moat, regulatory maintenance stuff.

The show IS over five years old now...it's about time that mountain took a break.

daytime use

i think they should consider putting on some kind of shows during the day hours. It seems like kind of a waste to me to build that huge amphitheater and mountain for one to two shows a night and that's it. I remember one time i went, there was a vocal quartet that sang for half an hour before Fantasmic started, kind of an audience warmup or pre-show. I bet they could come up with something entertaining that would draw a good crowd but not have to disturb any of the sets or equip. used for Fantasmic.

what do u guys think?

I've been thinking lately about that Pocahontas scene, lately, too. IMHO, it's the weakest part of WDW's Fantasmic. Whereas Disneyland has the incredibly impressive Peter Pan scene, WDW's is a letdown.

In light of the popularity of Pirates of the Caribbean (the film), I've been thinking how cool it would be to put a Pirates sequence in there instead. They could have a big Black Pearl battle sequence. It would be in the same vein as Disneyland's Peter Pan scene, but by no means an exact copy. I think that would greatly strengthen the show.

When Fantasmic! is down for rehab, will any extra characters be out for meet-n-greet? Is it possible Scorcery might be playing on those evenings?

I doubt it the parks are so slow during that time period, I don't think 4 days without a fireworks show will harm anything.

Actually it's 5 days without anything, but I do doubt that Sorcery will play while Fantasmic is down.

I think Disney will push people toward MK and Wishes since it's still so new.

You might see more characters out and about, but that might be it.
