where do the characters come from ?

hey there i was watching my fantasmic video the other day what we filmed last year i was just wondering where the characters come out from after the fireworks or are they all outside anyway as the boat seems too small for all the characters to cram inside until the fireworks stop was just curious thats all many thanks to every one who replies x
