Fantasmic Package at Hollywood Brown Derby

Just wondering what peoples thoughts were about the perceived value of the fantasmic dining package at HBD?

We are on the DP and I was planning on paying OOP for either CRT or at HBD. We did the Fantasmic dining package last year and ate at Mama Melrose (we loved it), just looking for some new places to eat.

Me and DH really enjoy HBD. CRT is a must do at least once as well and we also enjoyed there.
As for Fantasmic package we never do that and just dine normally at the restaurants in HS. Now you can make a fast pass for Fantasmic so we just do that to be guaranteed a seat for the show.
I don't know if there is really any monetary value in doing the Fantasmic package, but it is worth it for many to now be guaranteed a good seat in the middle (used to be the sides but that is now for FP guests) for Fantasmic.

We did the package a few weeks ago and really enjoyed ourselves, however of the five signature restaurants we ate at HBD was not in the same league as the others, we felt that we should have chosen one of the other restaurants . It was a big let down to be honest such a shame .

The Fantasmic package includes three courses so if book it on dining plan it works out good value as you get a free appetiser. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
