Family of the Day

Okay, I've always been curious about something, and I know here is the place to ask! I am constantly reading this site in prep for our annual trip to WDW...how do they choose the lucky families that get to ride in the various parades, etc? That must be the biggest thrill of anyone's Disney trip, so just wondered how that all comes about. Thanks!

Sometimes it is a Make a Wish kid or a family chosen earlier that week.

Other times, they just pick a family.

People who want to get picked show up ver, very early...like over an hour to two hours early. They chat up the CMs. They are friendly, bubbly and peppy. Some of them get picked, some don't.
