fall discounts

I think the free dining through 9/29 expired on 5/18. Is there any rumors of free dining being offered through the rest of the fall months?? My sister and I are going for a long weekend after Thanksgiving and staying at the Art of Animation resort. Hoping for free dining!

call me crazy.....but I hate Free Dining and wish it would go Away! Getting into table service locations (last minute resservation or perhaps a walk in) were something you could many times do...but these days when free dining is in progress it seems virtually impossible.

Although I always hope for free dining, I still purchase the DDP anyway as it saves me money. So, I would still make my ADR's 180 days out. I know I'm only speaking for me, but I'd bet that the majority of people traveling to WDW would do the same. IMHO, a walk-up would still be virtually impossible, with or without free dining. Just my 2 cents.

I get a fair amount of pin codes. Were there any black out dates?

They were all done in 3-4 days at a time. Except when I click the link, it doesn't pull in the discount... GRRRR I am going to have to call them because after reading the email the pin code was empty... Thanks Disney! I am sure they will fix it.

It is available for

9/30 - 10/04
10/19 - 11/01
11/09 - 11/15
11/23 - 11/29
12/10- 12/13

There was also a 30% room discount in the same email. Hope the dates fit for you. I was able to get it. Saved $730 for our trip in November!

I called once and she said I couldn't have it because it was my cousin's email (my cousin forwarded it to me). Then I started getting bugged about it and called back because I have never received ANY email from them ever. The guy said there was a glitch in the new promo (I guess the no PIN thing) and he went to his manager and they did it for me without any problem. I didn't even complain just asked why I do not receive emails.

I saved $730!!! I checked my reservation online and it was adjusted to my new balance due!

Someone refresh my memory - we were planning a trip Dec 13-18. If we check in on the 13th (the last day of the offer) will we be able to get free dining for our entire stay?

I got it too, the offer is not good for when we wanted to arrive so we have to adjust some things in OCT but we will still probabley use it.

Yes you will, you must arrive on those dates.

I called this morning, and the only pin code she could find was 35% off and then kept pushing me to a resort I didn't want. Needless to say, this camper is not happy. I will be calling back in a bit to try someone else. This time I might have to be a little more firm about what they "will" be doing for me.

It's possible they are sold out of the free dining. Free dining sells out VERY quickly. I called the day it was released and got it but then called back later that afternoon to switch resorts and it was sold out. So the fact it is pushing you to a different resort might be because that's the only resort the discount is avaliable at now. So good luck trying to tell them what they "will' do for you. It doesn't work that way.

That is exactly the same thing we do. If free dining is offered, or a room discount is available, we consider either/or to be our first dose of pixie dust
I can't understand why people want to get rid of free dining. With the offers Disney has been making within the last 5 years or so, they make it easier for families to vacation at Disney resorts. Regardless, the parks are busier, with or without free dining. What's next, people will complain about room discounts?!?!?!?

I 100% agree with you. We book the package no matter what at least 181 days before so we can do our dining reservations at 180 days. We just hope the dining package comes up. It it doesn't (which has never happened) we would either cancel the plan or Chang it up a bit. Either way we go for convenience no matter what. Disney is cheap for a family of 4 to vacation. Where else can you go for 8 days with dining included for $2500?

Love love love Disney!

Is there a way to take advantage of the free dining code (if I get it) if only part of my family could fly in on the 13th, and the rest of the family could fly in on the 14th? Right now we have 2 rooms booked for arrival on the 14th. However 2 out of the 4 of us could go down on the 13th, if that meant we could all get free dining.:veryconfu

One of my family members has college exams, and his last exam is on the 13th. He wouldn't get out of class until 4pm, and the last flight out of our airport is 5:40pm.:(
