ez pay passes

Pretty much every Florida resident in the state wishes Disney would get with the program now that we're spoiled by the perks, benefits and options for payment plans for the other theme parks. Heck, you can get unlimited entry into Busch Gardens with the "Fun Card" that costs ONE day's admission.

So of course I wish you could break it into payment. I would have never let my AP expire if I could pay it in parts. It's not the easiest thing in the world to come up with a chunk of hundreds of dollars at one time after all.

anyone think that wdw should have an ez pay plan for thier passes like universal or busch gardens?

Yes. Absolutely. It's a no-brainer.:hammer:
I've been saying that for a few years. It's so easy. Sign up once, pay the passes off month by month, automatic renewal....what's not to love?

Not to sound stupid or anything, but couldn't you make payments to yourself? You can always set up a separate savings account for just Disney and send your money there. You get the benefit of also getting whatever intrest accrues instead of Disney. Just a suggestion.

I agree 100%. it is very hard to come up with that kind of money all at once. and if you have alot of kids it's even harder. it doesn't even pay to book a package unless you only visit once a year!!

that is a good idea but if there is anyone like me, if it's in the bank, I'm gonna spend it. At least if it's coming out every month I know that I cannot spend it. Anyway have you seen the prices for the annual and premium annual passess? it's insane! I'd be saving for years! even the seasonal passes are getting out of control.

all good ideas but

there are a lot of good plans or ideas that can be formulated but for the immediate future disney will never do it at least not until park attendance and ticket sales begin to drop off for an extended period of time. WHY??? because the administration and management of doing a payment plan. with the current plan disney has the money in their hands before you even use the ticket but with a payment plan there are going to be slow or no payers just ask the credit card companies about this. and even if you set up auto-pay from your checking account we all know there will be some ISFs. and finally remember that disney would love it if you were to invest in either the DVC or get the Disney Credit Card.... both of which might be negatively impacted if there is a payment plan AP. and even just a .1 or .2 percent drop in either is huge dollars falloff.

It's nearly impossible to save money - especially several hundred dollars - without something coming up and having to dip into it. And of course, once you do that, you suddenly find yourself dwindled down to nothing very quickly.

Yeah same here. Though it's often one of those things where for me, it's not even like oh, I just don't have the willpower not to spend it but rather, it just gets spent in the course of life and it's "surprises."

thank you. thats how I feel. and with all the other things going up higher and higher in price, it's hard to do anything. As a Florida resident my home insurance went in 1 year from $450 a year to $4500 a year so there is always something that needs to be bought or fixed.

Just do what I do. Get yourself a Disney giftcard, and put $50 on it every paycheck. True, it's not earning anything extra in interest, but I'd rather trade off that little bit of interest for knowing that little-by-little I'm saving for my next Disney trip.

Info: www.disneygiftcard.com

I actually have three cards going, one for each of my next three trips. The one for this December will have my goal balance after my next paycheck. The one for Fall '08 is near its goal, thanks to a radio contest I won earlier this year. That just leaves the third for the trip in June that I need to save up for. Tax refund is going into that one... (It's going to be a busy year.....)

Ugh, I hear ya. I'm stuck in the perpetual crapdom of renting because I quite simply can't afford a mortgage PLUS taxes and insurance. One or the other sure, but together...? Hardly. It's gotten so bad. With no hope in sight either.

I would absolutely love a monthly auto-draft for my AP's. I buy 5 SAP per year and I would really love to spread that $1100-$1200 over 12 months.

i have the busch gardens ez pay passes for our family. we bought them back in may for the first time ever because we were wanting to go to sea world (which we did for the first time ever). I am paying $35 a month for 2 years of unlimited admission to all busch gardens parks. we only live 5 hours from williamsburg, we are are planning to utilize the tickets a lot this upcoming summer, but are hoping to go back to disney next december. for us it is like a free vacation, yes you have to pay for food, gas, and hotel but tickets are so expensive these days.

if disney would do this, i would be one happy camper!!!!

I'd love it. Its very hard for me to justify spending 400 bucks all at once for an annual pass, but if that money was spent once a month then its easy. 30 dollars a month is money that I spend on other miscellaneous things already and would be much easier to justify. Yes, I could do that on my own, but then I've got to force myself to save up for a year before I can get the pass. Sure once I've done that then its no issue, but most people aren't going to save up for a year.

No interest accrues if you pay off your EZpay charges each month and don't leave a balance on that card. We have the Gold Card (2years 2 parks) for 4 adults and pay less than $35 a month to be able to go to the parks, the concerts, and many other special events with no blackout days. The price has not gone up with the increase in ticket prices at the gate since we got the gold passes years and years ago. . You get free parking and 10-20% off food and things you buy in the shops. What is not to love about the EZPay? It gives you something to do whenever you have a few hours. Can't wait for the Bud& BBQ concerts this year...still not believing that we saw Jennifer Nettles last year for free<only takes less than 2 times each to a park to pay off the passes and the rest of your days for the year are basically the price of food and snacks if you want to eat there). If I had to pay out the price for 4 passes at the same time, I probably wouldn't do it and my sons would get something else for their birthdays each year. LOL Before we could go to Disney parks for free we limited our time there because of the price of the season passes and not wanting to pay that much at 1 time.

We are on the lottery plan...if I win the lottery I plan to buy tickets.:p

We save passes for years with large amounts of surprise money....last year a long lost pension of my dad's paid out(13 years after he passed away)....my husband rushed me over to DTD to buy annual passes before I could 'think' about saving it for insurance.

Even with a payment plan ...the monthly payments for passes for a family of 5 are just a risky commitment to take on down here.....now you would think that since I am afraid to buy furniture, mulch for the yard, clothes, Disney passes that I would have gobs of money in the bank.....nope...what I have is a mismanaged city owned electric company, $4-$5 a gallon milk and a family with a 1.5 gallon a day drinking habit, a home that needs repairs and a few other expenses thrown in for good measure...and I am still a stay at home mom....because I can't find a good fit for the family job wise....i.e. I cannot trust hubby to remember to pick the kids up at daycare so I need to work around that somehow.

Now when I go back to work I will have lots of money for Disney passes...just no time to enjoy it.

Can I have a quick pic on tonight's lotto please?
