Extra Magic Hours - what are the details

the Evening EMH state they are from 1-3 extra hours. So what does this really mean? We will be there from May 12-18, so will they be open 1 extra hour? or 2? or 3? Is there a list somewhere?

I am especially confused about Epcot since the two parts of the park close at different times. If they are open one extra hour, does that mean Future World closes at 8pm instead of the normal 7pm and World Showcase stays open until 10pm instead of 9pm? :veryconfu

The parks are open for an additional 3 hours after closing time.

Epcot, both Future World and World Showcase are open until 12 midnight on the nights when the park closes at 9pm. (Select rides only for both FW and WS--I believe a full list can be found on allearsnet.com).

Hope this helps and that you have a wonderful time:D:D:D

Even though they say "up to" 3 hours, I have never seen less than the 3 full hours. Remember to get your wristbands prior to closing and then you can enjoy all of the rides and shows that are open. If the park closes at 9 pm then EMH will run from 9 until midnight...just add 3 hours to the closing time.

Futureworld always says 7pm close and world showcase 9pm.. so if it was extra magic hours night at epcot.. does that mean 10pm for futureworld and midnight for the countires? Or does futureworld get 5 hours extra magic hours on extra magic hour night?

On EMH hours all the major attractions in Future World stay open the 5 extra hours.

ONE NOTE: EMH does NOT mean "shorter lines" - during peak and during the summer, the lines will remain just as long as if you were there during the day with no EMH - just the lines last all those extra hours longer. Sometimes the last hour will quiet down some, but not for all attractions (If the wait for Soarin' is 3 hours at 5 pm, it will still be 2 -3 hours at 11 pm)

During the Extra Magic Hours "Evening Offerings" the host park will always remain open 3 full hours after the official park closing time. The reason for the "up to 3 hours" disclaimer is simply not all the participating attractions may remain open the full 3 hours. This normally applies to attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom that involve live animals. For their health and safety, our animals may only appear "on stage" for a limited number of hours per day.

As natalia1681 stated above, the Extra Magic Hours for Epcot are 3 hours after the later of the two official park closing times.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

Also Epcot Future world closes @ 7:00 PM, but TT, MS, Sorin', JIYI, LWTL and I believe EEA are open till 9:00 PM every night. Then you would add on evening EMH.
