I am planing to acquire an Annual Pass...for this year (2006). Therefore if I stay at a Disney resort, and own an Annual Pass am I still eligible to Extra Magic Hours? Also if I am, what do I have to Show, Resort Key Card plus an ID? or The annual pass is enough....?

I ask this because I am not sure that the Extra Magic Hours, are only for guests with Packages Including Resort+Tickets.

Thanks in advance...

;)

EMH is for anyone staying at a WDW Resort and all you need to show is your room key to get your wristband.

Which she said she will be.

I believe the word "if" was mentioned. :animwink:

The question arose because the OP wasn't sure if the need to have a package was involved as well, which it is not.

When we went in June, we didn't even have to show a room key, the person we got our from was just giving them out to anybody that asked for one. I would rather they go back to the e-ride nights because the crowd was too big when the park is open to everyone like EMH is. We stayed the whole 3 hours and because of wait times, we only were able to do 4 or 5 rides. At 1am, Space Mt. still had a 55 minute wait.

This is not the case anymore, they are checking and quite closely I might add.

The other day at Epcot they were actually swiping the cards magnetic strip through a handheld device to make sure it was valid and not used more than once.

Talking of checking, I do appologise for going off topic but that reminded me, I have only had this the last three of four visits to WDW but when I went to get my Passholder "Exclusive" Pins the cast members were not even asking to see my anual pass. I was even able to get the Disney Vacation Club pins and I am not even a member of that. What is going on with that, it defeats the whole point of haveing Exclusive pins.

Sorry again for going off topic, it just reminded me and I didn't see the need for a new thread for this.

Yes, our cards were swiped two weeks ago for ALL extra magic hours we went to.

Everyone's key needs swiped to get a wristband. Although our son, who was under 3 thus didn't have a key, wanted a band. The CM was nice enough to give him one so he could "fit in" with mom and dad.
