Extra Early Magic Hour Schedule at Theme Parks

Can anybody direct me to an official schedule of the "Extra (early) Magic Hour" for the theme parks for early Feb/04?

So, if I have the concept right, if a park opens regularly at 9am then it opens early for Resort guests at 8am - right??
Does this include everything? ie -rides, shows, and restuarants?
(Not sure, but who exactly is willing to do "Tower of Terror" at 8am in the morning!!! ) My teenage daughter is like saying "Be at a park for 7:45am!?! - are you nuts!!"... I am going to have to find ways to make it worth the extra effort for her!!

Are there any suggestions as to what to do during this extra early hour other than rides at each park??

thanks for your thoughts...

We always try to take advantage of this (along with E nights...when available) If the park opens at 9 early in is at 8, but be there by at least 7:30 (or earlier) or you will be at the back of the line. We can usually get a quick breakfast in the park and get most of what we want to do by noon. We head back to our resort take a swim or nap and have lunch and head back out for the afternoon & evening. Its been awhile since we have been in the off season...you may be able to do the entire park before heading out if its not too crowded. Enjoy your trip & bring us back some pics.

Yes, get there even earlier than an hour. You will be able to get a lot of extra things done in that hour before regular guests start arriving. It is a great perk, take full advantage of it.

We just got back and here is the schedule:

Monday - Animal Kingdom
Tuesday - MGM
Wednesday - Epcot
Thursday - Magic Kingdom
Friday - Animal Kingdom
Saturday - MGM
Sunday - Magic Kingdom

Extra magic hour mean that park opened at 8am.

They will be running the extra magic hour during Christmas AND the parks will be open later than when I was there.

On the Wednesday the 24th, MK has early magic day. And on Thursday the 25th, Epcot has early magic day with a park opening at 7am for resort guests only. (the 7am for Epcot, not too sure about MK)

Any suggestions as to what to do first for early entry at any of the parks? Will we need Fastpasses for rides during the Extra Hour of Magic??

MK: Either do Fantasyland or Tomorrowland (I recommend Fantasyland). With the addition of Philharmagic, you might not be able to get all of Fantasyland done in 1 hour, but it shouldn't take much longer than that.

You should be able to get all of one land done without the need of fastpasses during early February.

Epcot: MS and TT are worth doing early. SE and UoE are also open early, but it's not too hard to get on them at any point during the day.

MGM: ToT and RnRC can be done multiple times in 1 hour, or do Star Tours, Muppets, GMR, get FP for Little Mermaid (one I do recommend getting, I don't think there are early shows).

AK: 2 or 3 trips on Safari and exploration of trails, or go do Dinosaur (but not much else in that area) can be done in the early hour. FP really aren't needed here either.

Let me see if I got the Christmas Vactaion "Early Entry" schedule correct:

Currently, during the week after Christmas and before New Years, all parks are opening to the public pretty early--at around 8:00am.

So you guys are saying that between Christmas and New Years the "Early Entry" perk starts at 7:00am? This is correct, yes?

I've been searching a few websites and can't quite find the confirmed info, just statements that "Early Entry" is an extra hour before park opens to the pubic.

Has anyone out there actually been in the parks from 7:00 to 8:00am during Christmas break? If so, how many other up-at-dawn early risers are also doing the "Early Entry" thing during this time (Chrismas through New Years)?

Note: due to my sis-in-law taking a teaching job starting this August, we will be forced to do WDW as a family during school breaks--she can't get a week off during the school year (not unless she lies about illness or something)--especially not in her first year of teaching. And presently, Christmas break or Mid-June seem to be the only school breaks that has all family members in sync--1 teacher, 4 students w/ 1 t.v. news producer who can't vacation during February, May, July, or November.

Here is a tip people ofetn don't know about:

Whatever the official openning time is for the day, the park will always open a half hour before that. This is to ease the large flow of guests normally at a park entrance when it opens.

So say it the official openning time for MK is 9AM. It will actually open at 8:30AM. Add to it the early entry of the resorts and you will be able to enter at 7:30AM, if you want. Be at the monorail station (or TTC) by 7:15AM. Trust me, you will enjoy the extra time.

Even though the park opens a half hour earlier than posted, you will only be able to go to certain areas. But if you go during the early entry time, then you are allowed to go into other areas while other guests will be waiting behind a rope until the official openning time.

They can't make it any more confusing for us. But it's just a tip I have always used and it's worked everytime.
