Extra Adult Charges

I am not sure about this, and was wondering if you guys can help me. In the villas and other large capacity rooms, if you have more than two adults do they hit you with the extra adult charges. It would make sense not to charge you since Disney tells you that the room can sleep 6 people, but since this is Disney I am sure they charge you anyway. I just want to make sure.

Thanks for the help.

The charges to you for the extra adults is not tied to space necessarily. Extra adult charges are there in order to compensate the extra linens, water usage, housekeeping labor, etc., when you have multiple people staying in one room.

I'm searching for the logic in that one. Kids (who do not add charges to the room) also use linens, water, and even MORE housekeeping labor. I can almost understand charging for extra adults in regular hotel rooms, but not in the Home away from home rooms/suites. These are promoted to accomodate mulitiple families, etc. I think I'd call and find out myself and try to get something waived on that.

It may not be logical to some, but I work at a large entertainment facility with a number of hotels on property. When raising prices and creating the "extra" prices, these are the items that do determine the prices to be released from a financial analysis perspective. I am not saying it is right nor is it Disney's way, but it is used in some companies.

Believe me...I know how businesses are. LOL... But I think it is not right for them to charge extra for the suites that they promote as alternatives for larger families. They even show several adults (parents and grandparents) in their video. I could never run a business. I'm not cut-throat enough. But, I know what you are saying makes sense, but I just don't like it. And....my daughter used more water and towels than my husband and I put together, and created a bigger mess. So, maybe they are charging for the wrong people. :) I can see it now...Disney charges $20/night extra for teenagers.....(especially Brazilians..LOL ok..that was bad..... sorry)

Our first trip to wdw (1991) we took the 27 route. Each time after that (1996, 2002, 2003) we took the turnpike. This year we plan to take the 27 route. Please tell me that route is not all that bad. We will probably be arriving at wdw at 6:00 a.m. so I hope we will miss the traffic.
