Express vs. Resort Monorail

I know somewhere deep in the recessess of my brain I know the answer to this but... you can board and disembark the Resort Monorail at the Ticket & Transportation Center right? Does that change after MK closes (i.e. once the park closes does the resort line skip the T&TC or still stop at it on it's trip around)?

Also... Resort Monorail is only the MK line but there is still the ability to hop from one to the other in the T&TC right?

It's one of those Brain Poot kinda days! :D

Yes. You can get off the resort monrail at the TTC. Many Disney guides suggest taking the resort monorail over the express for your trip from MK to the TTC.
Oh good I'm not losing my mind! We were talking about how very often the express is insane when the park closes and my husband asked "why don't we just hop the resort monorail or does it skip the T&TC at that time of night?" and I got to thinking and realized I thought I knew but wasn't sure enough to answer him. LOL!

Except for during the hours around the time the park closes, the resort monorail almost always seems like a better idea because there is almost always no wait. Yes, you do have to stop at two of the resorts before you get to the park, but it beats waiting however long to ride the express monorail.

Agreed and for the most part, the typical guest doesn't know that the resort line goes to the same eventual place so it's less nuts. Besides, I kind of like the view and stopping at the resorts.

Which is really perplexing to me, because I'm not sure how it could be perceived otherwise, hah. And agreed.
What made us stop and think about it was recent changes to the monorail running schedules etc. and it made me question my certainty that they both stopped at the T&TC. I could see Disney making it so the resort line basically just pulled through since it's "purpose" was for the resort pickup/dropoff only... so I needed to be sure that in the last year and a half that hadn't changed. LOL! :D

Whenever I'm at the TTC and the line is long for the MK express monorail, I just get on the resort monorail. There's usually no line and probably wind up getting to MK faster than the people waiting in line for the express MK monorail.

:) Walking up the ramp, quickly scanning the mass of people, trying to count the number of heads to see which one I should take. Resort line usually wins out. And once in a while I decide to jump off at one of the resorts to grab a walk around or pick up a snack or food choice from a different resort.

As someone who has spent more then enough time on both lines in the past few weeks, I gotta say one of the best time saving things is the Resort Monorail. The Express you can wait for 2 Monorails if it is busy where the Resort one as someone said is always very empty.

Yup, they both stop at the TTC.

Although the line for the Resort one always looks shorter, you will almost always get to the TTC faster using the Express. :)

I'm totally in favor of people not believing that the Express is faster, though! In fact, I think everyone should try the Resort monorail to see if it is faster for them. :)
