Expiration of AP Voucher

When does the AP voucher expire? We are going to WDW in August and would like to purchase one AP and multiple PHP tickets far in advance of our departure.

The voucher would not expire unless it is a special promotional offer and then it would clearly state on the voucher when it expires. It will expire a year from when you validate it/turn it in. Please make sure every member of your party has a photo-id when they turn in the voucher as well.

Let me see if I understand your answer.(I am also going in August and plan to purchase a AP) You are saying that I can buy the AP now, get a voucher, and the clock does not start ticking on the AP until I validate it when I get to WDW?

Maybe I should clarify my question. I understand that the Annual Pass will expire one year after you exchange the voucher. My question is: what is the maximum amount of time in which to exchange the voucher for the actual Annual Pass? For example, if I purchase the Annual Pass (actually the voucher) today, will the voucher expire in one year, six months, etc.?
