Hey Everyone,
I thought it would be a good idea to have a continual post about Expedition Everest in which we discuss the latest in whats going on with the attraction! Here's something to start us off on September 19, 2003......

The walls out of concrete that are being constructed look very interesting....any idea as what they could be for? Structural? How tall is this mountain supposed to be? Fill me in!!:) :)

The top of the mountain is suppose to be about 200 feet high

I wouldn't put it past Disney to make it one foot below the height that needs to have a flashing red plane light on it. (If that height is 200 ft, they will make it like 199 just to avoid the bad show of the light. Hopefully.)

It seems like it could be the queue/load-unload building...but I'm not too sure.....

As for the height my bet is that it will be 199.99 ft....But I'm not too interested in the height as I am in the width of this mountain...

It does seem though that they may open the area before the ride opens as they are concentrating on foreground construction (the bridge and the front of E:E). Anyways just some thoughts.

Most of the visible construction at this point is the new bridge from Dinoland.
When the mountain starts to go up, it will be pretty hard to miss.

A little off topic, but does anyone know what the height restriction for DL in California is? I'm always hearing its 200 feet at WDW- is it the same at DL- IOW, is it a national or state restriction?

I'm fairly sure that 200 feet is a federal law.

Yep, it's a FAA regulation.

However, keep in mind it means 200 feet from grade, not sea level or anything. For example, ToT is 199 feet tall from ground floor up, but it's taller than that if you measure from Sunset Blvd.
