Exchanging old tickets

Hi! I've read these boards for years but never posted. I have a question, though, and am hoping someone can answer it for me. 8 years ago I bought a couple of no expiration passes from Undercover Tourist, and although I've been to WDW several times since then, I've never used them because we bought packages instead. Anyway, we are going back in 28 days and will be using the passes. I have linked everything (including these passes) through MDX and just received the Magic Bands today. Will I have to exchange my passes (they are paper with the magnetic strips) at the ticket window at the park, or am I good to since they are linked to the Magic Bands?

You should not need to convert your tickets to any other form of media, since your Magic Bands will act as your park tickets. Definitely take them with you, just in case, but you shouldn't ever need them.

I concur with the others. Bring the tickets with you the first day or two to make sure that they're working properly, and then you can bring then or leave them in your room.

And on a related note (though not for the OP) for anyone who happens to come across this thread, if you have old tickets and you're *not* staying at a Disney resort (and thus don't have Magic Bands), look on the back of your ticket. If it has a small MDE logo (a Mickey head inside a circle), then you're good to go and can use the ticket as-in at the park turnstile and FP+ points.
If it *doesn't* have the logo, you'll have to stop at Guest Relations to exchange them for an RFID-capable ticket before you can use them in the parks.
