Hi all! Long time lurker first time poster. I worked for Disney for 10 years and found another job closer to home. Since then I've had a daughter who will be 8 months old tomorrow, and for our 10 year anniversary in October, we booked a stay at Coronado Springs! I'm so excited to take my daughter to MK. We had a few leftover comps and so my wife and I will use those and obviously my daughter will be free. We were thinking of booking breakfast at Steakhouse 71 to avoid taking the buses/driving using the TTC and could just walk to MK. Also what about shoes? Our daughter doesn't walk yet, and will be in a stroller, I hope we don't get a Park Greeter who asks us to put shoes on her, because we won't have any for her. We plan on going on rides with no height requirement and taking lots of photos and seeing characters, coming back to the resort for a nap/pool time. I haven't been the parks in a couple years so I'm very excited to see it through her eyes. Also do you think we ought to purchase Memory Maker for the day? Are PhotoPass CM's pretty cool with us just handing them our phones? Lots of questions here, thank you!

It should be a fun trip, seeing the parks thru an infant's eyes. We took our granddaughter when she was just shy of 6 months old. I think that as long as you are mindful of her needs and take a slow pace, you will be fine.

Table service can be a challenge. Is she accustomed to eating out in restaurants? Sometimes slow service can really cause a baby to get fussy. Our granddaughter slept thru most dinners but she was younger and there were 6 adults who took turns walking her around during the meal if she got out of sorts.

I don't think that you will have any problems with her being shoeless in the parks. She's not walking so there's no possibility of her running about barefoot. I'm pretty sure that plenty of babies have passed thru the gates without shoes on their feet.

Photopass CMs used to be able to use a guest's camera to take pictures. They stopped doing it during COVID but may have reversed that in the past year or so. If you want any magic shots, you'll want Memory Maker because it's the most affordable way to get those pictures. We have some very adorable pictures of the baby with the magic shots. For us, it was worth seeking them out.
