Ewok Button: The Mystery of Ride Controls

So everyone knows that there's usually some sort of panel that is used to start and stop rides or perform other important functions. These are mostly straightforward, but I saw something at Star Tours that caught my eye.

Just before entering the indoor portion of the queue there's a panel with several buttons on it. As you walk through you're able to take a peek at the controls, and as I enetered I saw that there was a button labeled "Ewok" that was flashing.

Does anyone know what this does? Does it trigger some outdoor queue sounds or is it a code for a more important function?
