Everyone is forgetting something

With that parks being closed, exactly who looks after all the ducks and squirrels? We all know they aren't Disney's responsibility but they are part of the experience. We all know they are missing the people and ALLLLLLL the food thats dropped on the ground. This may or may not be a concern to many, just trying to lighten the mood around here.

Based on what I have witnessed working at many theme parks, for the most part, although fun to watch, the squirrels and similar animals at major theme parks are much better being left "wild" as can be as in not being fed. Them losing their fear of people sometimes ends badly for guests getting scratched or bit while feeding, and it also commonly ends badly for the animals because they become trusting to the wrong people or eat things their bodies are not meant to digest.

Yup. There seems to be a segment of the Disneyphile population that doesn't care about the consequences of feeding the wild animals...I've been in many arguments about why doing so is bad for everyone - including the animals.

Ducks spending their lives in Disney World sounds like one hell of a life. Compared to just floating in some boring pond somewhere in the middle of Oklahoma (no offense to Oklahomans).

It can be. But I am talking about the people who walk up and feed them or hand out bread that they should not be eaiting. I can't tell you how many I have personally seen get kicked, shoved or all the first aid calls from guests feeding squirrels that have their hand split open and then are going to get stitches or their rabis shot.
Ducks are fine without people. No one sincerely has to worry about the animals and no harm is coming from them being alone right now was my point.

Yeah I never actively feed animals at Disney but they certainly come up to me and are begging for fries. But yeah I get your point, the ducks and squirrels will all be fine without people there.
